13 Empowering Songs to Remind You That You’re Great


Yesterday was National Stop Bullying Day and October is Stop Bullying MONTH! Personally, I think EVERY DAY should be bully-free.

I cringe when I think back to those junior high days; fearful of what cruel words would be hurled at me simply for setting foot on the bus or in my classroom. And this was before the internet or smart phones, so I can’t even imagine how much worse it has become with the added ubiquity of technology.

But, I made it through the tough times! I wasn’t going to let those bullies crush my spirit forever. They’re the ones who had issues. Remember, you are worth it. You are special. And true to the words of the empowerment campaign, it DOES get better.

And if you need some friendly voices to remind you of that, these fantastically inspirational songs can help. Some of these artists themselves were bullied and often talk about it overcoming it. (But remember, if you need to seek professional help or assistance, please tell a parent, trusted adult, or contact an organization).
