Who said he was hired the day of the event? Not singling you out, but the young man has been very gracious and complimentary; maybe we should try that as well. Again...I don't think we know just yet who the guitarist was. The fellow everyone is tweeting about seems to be a DJ. Lovely man but I don't think he plays guitar. ...and I thought the guitarist was quite good.  I like seeing new people around Adam. Event Diff person ....diff feel for the guitar.. Was just different .....ok by me .... |

I haven't listened to anything and my question wasn't about quality of this guy, just find it curious that when artist has an existing relationship with a player that he wouldn't use that or have a say about it - no idea if he did or maybe Tommy didn't want the gig or maybe who the hell knows (and we never will)... just find it curious. |

I see on twitter that Nile Rodgers hooked the guy up with the gig.edit/..haha of course Adamrocks beat me to that. Methinks Niles is a good reference. I agree.  Good enough for me. |

All I heard was Adam's beautiful voice.......the guitarist totally faded into he background and that was fine by me.

I think the guitarist did a lot of more interesting things than we are used to. Actually there were some really lovely bits of accompaniment. There was a lot more going on than chord strumming. But they were woefully under rehearsed, and the two of them were not headed in the same direction all the time--hence some clinker chords.
