It has dried out here. No kids yet. usually start showing up around 6:30 or so. Will be jumping up and down answering the door until 9:00 or so. Feel like just putting the bowl out in the entry area with a sign that says take one only. (I made special goody bags with candy and fun puzzles, halloween pencils, creepy rubber spiders and ghosts - lots of fun stuff tied with ribbon). I'm going Trick or Treating at your house!

This may be my favorite Halloween headline ... Brain Removal Cures Arachnophobia Scientists have discovered a new cure for those suffering from arachnophobia, the fear of spiders: remove a small brain chunk. Researchers reported in Neurocase that a man was relieved of his intense fear of eight-legged insects after doctors removed part of his amygdala. The patient, a 44-year-old man, was suffering from an extreme form of arachnophobia that caused seizures. The invasive surgery isn't likely to be performed in most run-of-the-mill cases. Still, the amygdala removal was a success. Not only did the man no longer scare at the sight of spiders, he was suddenly fascinated by them.
