This may be my favorite Halloween headline ... Brain Removal Cures Arachnophobia
Scientists have discovered a new cure for those suffering from arachnophobia, the fear of spiders: remove a small brain chunk. Researchers reported in Neurocase that a man was relieved of his intense fear of eight-legged insects after doctors removed part of his amygdala. The patient, a 44-year-old man, was suffering from an extreme form of arachnophobia that caused seizures. The invasive surgery isn't likely to be performed in most run-of-the-mill cases. Still, the amygdala removal was a success. Not only did the man no longer scare at the sight of spiders, he was suddenly fascinated by them.

I am with you on this one. Adam follows have proven to mean something over and over. Add Sosh's tweet and I think the odds are good. Its been hinted that it will be Madonna on the finale of Xfactor over here (U.K.)......??? She is said to be considering it but making her mind up at the last minute depending on the finalists !!!!!
Would much prefer QAL of course...do you really think the odds are good...
Yes, I think it is a real possibility -- can't figure out why else Adam would do the follow. And Madonna and QAL could be on the same show. Adam and his close circle sure are serious about dressing up for Halloween. Love the creativity of their costumes! It sure beats the "blood and guts" costumes favored by the tricksters I've seen in my part of the world tonight.

BTW - Do any of you know what character is a short, platinum-haired elf with a blue squeaky thing? A girl came trick-or-treating to my door in that costume. I think she said she was Link(?). The character looked familiar, but I couldn't place it at all. I made a link costume for my dd this year.. Link is from legend of Zelda.. Green outfit w a blond wig and pointy ears..don't know about the blue squeaky tho.. Cold windy and rainy here in Michigan..I am on the edge of the st Clair river across from Canada.. Looks like snow out over the water. |
