I wish I knew how to find gifs. Maybe there is one for the scene when Elliot told Santana that her behavior was "so high school."
A few years ago I was laid off from a job in my chosen field. Why would I not go to an awards and networking opportunity in that field even if my former employer was slated to be honored? Maybe I would expect both parties involved to have emotional control instead of being babies.

I know MP is a rock guitarist (didn't know he has a band though), but I'm just surprised he chose to go to an award show where he knew Adam is gonna be, and probably guessed he'd win, same as we guessed it. IDK, to me, him being there and watching his former friend and band mate take an award, give a speech, and win the honor and respect of everyone, makes him look kind of pathetic, doesn't it? or maybe it's just me being a bad person...  I doubt anyone in that room had any idea of their history and of course Monte would want to be at the awards. It was a great networking opportunity for a working musician, so not pathetic at all from my POV. I agree with that view too, and I have no wish to debate...just my opinion. I have people that I have worked with or my husband/family has dealt with that were/are not our favorite people...for whatever reasons. There are people in common ...it does not mean in MY WORLD that the other people or ME have to give up connections and forgo social or world of work events. As a thought, Monte may personally know more of these musicians than Adam. (Adam has not given up his acquaintance/friendship with Tommy, yet Tommy and Monte occassionally connect over twitter.)
It was interesting to me that Tommy's new band lead September Mourning was present...a bit of the new breed with the Old.. good news for rock. |

Cassie, Brian and Roger have said many times they were never looking for a frontman. Since they haven't toured since mid 1990s, mid 2000s I believe them. I think the collab in Vegas was a great big, "Wow! Ah ha" for them. Actually, I disagree about Vegas a bit. I think the iHR 2013 performance was specifically planned to stir up interested in a tour -- for many reasons -- some commercial, some because both Roger and Brian like to perform. August 2013 is when Queen was negotiating a huge contract with UMG and if they were are active, arena-level touring act, then they could strike a much better deal. And everything indicates that they got a great deal from UMG. In fact Brian/Queen teased a world tour in August 2012 and again at the start of 2013, with Adam Lambert as frontman. Just took longer to happen -- presumably because Adam had Trespassing to promote and his own tour. I do not think they expected to find a frontman when they performed with Adam on American Idol in 2009 -- but they knew about Adam, had watched YouTubes during the season and in one interview Brian said that is why they agreed to do the finale. ** What I do agree with is that Vegas was a "Wow Ah ha" for everyone -- it just clicked. I think it was a WOW for Brian, Roger, Adam, the audience, LiveNation, Ryan Seacrest, some skeptical Queen fans, etc. etc. I do not believe anyone believed it could go so well -- well except some core Adam fans.  ** The idea of Adam singing with Queen has been floating around from Brian since May 2009. JMHO Adam, Brian and Roger all knew that Adam had to build his solo career first, move away from Idol, get touring experience before they could do anything together. Brian also commented about Adam a lot in 2009 -- here is one example I love! And seems appropriate for today. I do not think it was a grand plan laid out in 2009, but the way Q+AL evolved along side Adam's solo career was just about perfect. If it happened faster, Adam might not have been ready and I think Queen fans acceptance would be harder to garner. 2009 Idol - WATC 2011 EMAs - Mini medley 2012 Mini Tour - imagine how it must have felt to debut with Queen in front of 200K+ people! + TV. 2013 iHeartRadio - pretty much proved Adam was the man for the job. 2014 Tour NA, Asia Pacific 2015 Tour UK and Europe Now I am also hopeful that the other side by side project will be coming soon --- that is A3! |

Was too focused on Adam. I didn't even see what MP did when award was announced. Why was he there? He is a Rock musician. It wasn't just award winners there. Seriously, why would you look away from this:  to watch this:  I made it small so as not to offend anyone's sensiblities. 8D  |
