What's with all the negative on Simon? How can you say he had nothing to do with making Adam a star? While I agree Adam had star quality on his own, without AI (Simon's creation and clearly his show) and all visibility and resources that came with being on the show it is highly probable that most of us would have never heard of Adam at all. That show and Simon's support of him while on the show has made all the difference in the world on Adam's career trajectory. Simon does deserve a bit of credit. Just an FYI, but Simon Fuller is the creator of the Idol franchise, while Cowell is the creator of the X Factor franchise. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Fullerhehe, it took me until Adam's year to figure out there were two Simons. For me it will always be the Simon in front of the camera who was the show and his name was Simon Cowell Fuller. |

I have too, Maia. I would like Adam to make some sort of request, so we can focus our laser intentions in a certain direction. I remember Charity:Water BD 29. What a thrill to see the funds increasing to that absolutely astounding $230,000. Remember the excitement??? But Adam put out the definitive call for that. I'd like to see him do this again...for whatever is dear to him now. JMO. It was actually over 320K!!  ROLF!!! I inverted the numbers... Want me to do your taxes for you?? |

Edit: should have read all the thread before posting this, as some traction for future donations is bang on! Still leaving in my original post...as below. Golly, Darn sure I gifted FYE to everyone I could think of.... and close to the same with Trespassing,  . (even people who expressed a positive comment, like a lady at the post office, when I was picking up the tube with the wolf print, etc. etc. etc. ) I would have to pass on this gifting BigLaughas I am not sure I could think of any new people. Certainly "liking" posts/articles about the 5 yr anniversary, could be another form of support. Some whom I gifted the first time chose not to pick up on the iTunes gift.  But the CD's were accepted. So I now know where to put my money. Putting aside the paltry monetary rewards that would come to Adam, I am thinking ...future....future....future.... I will be happy to dedicate resources to gifting A3 as well....with hopes some will buy their own CD now that I treated 4 to the Queen and AL concert. (The 6 who went thought the show was amazing, and they go to a lot of concerts. Personally , this is a huge gifting season for charities and functions for charities, in my real life, and I would rather try to get involved in the Adam/give stars program, for my internet life. Adam is backing a charity, which we soon find out about....???Wondering??? |
