Been lurking for a while but just want to say I so much agree with everyone who loves Adam just for being Adam! I don't know why he affects so many of us like he does. Although I do love His music, I also love hearing him sing anything. Maybe it's because we sort of feel like we really got to know him through so many of his interviews. Maybe that is a big part of it. He has shared so much of himself with us. I hope he never stops! I really do feel proud of him for every new thing he attempts just because he is fearless and is willing to give everything a shot. Just plain love that boy! Thanks for posting this. It is exactly how I feel. I love his music, and I love him singing other great songs. And I greatly admire his courage. And I love that he is willing to do so many different things. But I mostly love that he is daring, adventurous and willing to try new things! (As you wrote -- "willing to give everything a shot") And perhaps that is why I am here and passionate and proud of him over 5 years later just because I (and fans) get to be part of the Adventures of Adam Lambert! **** The most interesting this I learned about Adam because of Q+AL was that although he appears to be fearless, he is not. And who wouldn't have been a bit fearful going out in your FIRST concert fronting Queen and performing for 250,000 people and on a live TV broadcast? (This is the one Adam talked about being scared before he performed.) I would have been paralyzed and speechless if all I had to do was introduce them. Over the course of the Q+AL tour, I also learned that they were all (Brian, Roger and Adam) nervous about playing MSG. Queen has a history of harsh reviews in NYC and the audiences can be very tough there. It turned out to be a great show and the audience was really into the concert. For me, knowing that he is human, and can appear so fearless, so in control of everything when he performs increases my admiration even more. I remember reading some reviews of the Kiev show saying Adam seemed nervous during the first half but seemed more confident when he came out for the second part. And he has certainly grown into the performances with Queen over these years. I think he has mentioned being nervous on TV knowing that so many people are watching, and I rememmber noticing that when he premiered BTIKM on Leno(?) that his hands were shaking. The only time I've ever noticed visible nerves like that on him.

Here's another quiz if interested on a slow day. I got silver. Your soul's color is: Silver Silver souls are rare but they're also a level above everyone else. As a silver soul, you're wickedly smart, but you have a little bit of shyness that comes with the gift of intellect. You see the world in a sane and honest way so it's hard to be so sure of everything. Your brain excels at understanding problems that are fascinating and intriguing. Your mind is immersed in solving interesting challenges and exploring uncharted lands. You have an extremely high chance of affecting humanity in some enormous way! Gelly @14gelly 11m11 minutes ago I got Red. What color is your soul? on @bitecharge bitecharge.com/play/soulcolor/h2
And silver here also... My soul matches my hair. Always did love coordinating :-)

"London has been a major settlement for two millennia, its history going back to its founding by the Romans, who named it Londinium. London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) medieval boundaries and in 2011 had a resident population of 7,375, making it the smallest city in England. Since at least the 19th century, the term London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core. The bulk of this conurbation forms the Greater London administrative area (coterminous with the London region), governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly." In my words, the greater London administrative area is a wonderful mixture of neighborhoods, with such ethnic diversity, and more recently wonderful foods and drinks. I think there are more pubs per square mile than anywhere in the world. "Pub grub" is wonderful, and as you go out to the countryside, the pubs get even better. Yep 2.5 days is not enough time to experience this area. Actually a couple of weeks is needed to explore and also hit some of the areas north of the city, especially the Cotswald area. That is where I spent the first 10 years of my life. Plus with all the shows in the theater district, you would be seeing and doing all day and into the evening. A lot of wonderful shows to be seen. I am very tempted to wander over there, but my son keeps me grounded. Some of the castles take a day to fully explore, and there are many. Castles are intriguing to me. I got to back down here, cause a plane ticket is a click away!!!!EDIT: For Europeans; Don't forget Trains ... not as uncomfortable as they used to be and quite eficcient. This is not only for Smokey, but for all would-be travellers ....
IMO you do not need to justify a trip by covering ALL bases - you never can anyway. If you love AFL, see him in concert and then on top of that get to explore a City on your bucket list - that is awsome !!! How Long or how much ... it will never be enough anyway. I saw Helsinki for approx. 24 hrs ... given that I would never even gone there otherwise, that was awsome.
ETA: Check Train schedules as well - they are quite comfy IMO
ETA2 .... Oh .... yes - as smokeyvera said ...

My soul is GREEN! Some of the questions were actually not that easy because I could have picked 2-3 of the answers, which is either a sign of wisdom, an analytical mind or over-thinking a silly quiz.
I believe that Adam has a wonderful capacity for stepping into new situations which will challenge him and help him grow in new ways. I think this is one of the many admirable qualities he possesses that intrigue so many of his followers and fans. He has grown tremendously through his association with Brian and Roger, and it is a huge compliment that Queen considers him a member of the family. While Adam is primarily a solo artist, it is important to remember that he truly values and enjoys working with others. I understand this because I am the same way--I have no problem doing my own thing but really like working with others and learn a lot from those experiences. I agree with those who feel that his association with Queen can only be good for his solo career, and I can't wait to hear how this partnership influences his new music!

Cassie thank you for posting that home free video. If anybody is interested The sing Off has a short series this Dec, (17th) such a good show. Thanks for the info. It is a good show with smart, constructive judging. Pentatonix also won and their career has been going well. I've been thinking about musical reality shows in the UK. Is the British public and media more accepting of the stars that have come out of the X Factor UK? I've never watched it before, but it happened to be picked up by a local station here so I've been watching this season. They've been bringing back a lot of the talent that got their start on the show for results nights. I've been googling them and a lot of them seem to have successful careers without the constant description of former X-Factor contestant. For example, Ella Henderson, who was an early out on the X Factor and who performed on "The Voice" a couple of weeks ago, is described as "pop sensation." Olly Murs, X Factor runner-up and who has a video on the Much Music Countdown now, seems to have mostly escaped the reality show moniker. Then there's One Direction ... (A bit of an aside here -- they all seemed to be signed with Simon Cowell's label -- he must be making ALOT of money.) It seemed to take Adam forever to ditch the "former American Idol contestant" title and, sometimes, I still get the feeling that in the USA he is still not forgiven or taken seriously because he went that route. I also get the impression that the UK X Factor has created a lot more stars that all the singing reality shows in the States. Maybe I'm wrong -- I was just wondering if any of the Brits on Atop might comment or someone who has a lot more information than I do!

I did London for the Hammersmith shows, so I am quite happy not to go this time around, as I also got to see several shows in the US and am quite content. I have visited London at least 6 times now, and always find something new and interesting. I even got to see the stage show of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, one of my all time favorite movies, and definitely a fabulous stage show. Got to see a lot of straight men, get in touch with their feminine side. it was a sight to behold. So all is good!!!
