If liking the Queen + Adam Lambert designation with Adam treated as a separate, important part of this collaboration is twisted, then I guess I am a little twisted too! Actually, that's the sane part, LOL. What I was getting at is that and maybe it's a bit twisted is that I'm not tired of QAL by any means and will ride it out until the window of opportunity closes. I think Adam is winning with this collaboration beyond our comprehension. Totally agree with that too -- I love Q+AL, and think that it is a win for Adam -- particularly the UK-Europe part of the tour that is just starting.

Wouldn't it be fun for them to do Brazil and a few of those places along with taking a swing back thru our southern states. For me there's not a downside. A3 will come when it comes but it's a complete unknown. I'm all for doing both.

Cheers for the info I am not as knowledgeble haha. What I meant re Adams vocal range, Rob Cavallo said he can hit every note on the guitar. He has not got the highest voice in terms of vocal range. But IMO his low to high range, and his ability to go so low to so high in matter of seconds, is second to none. Freddie was more gritty in his tone. But it is more a preferance thing. Adam so suits Queen though, I guess I am just shocked at the response to this Collab, is it really that big of deal? Adams theatrical style is more current for this generation. I don't see Freddie performing that well currently. I mean could you imagine Brian playing on Freddie's piano lol? With Adam I feel it is much more looser and funner. With Freddie back in their hayday they were such a serious band. A standard-tuned, 6-string guitar with a 22-fret board has is not quite four octaves. .....not unheard of. Adam is one in a billion -- but that has to be about more than range and dynamics. Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses) has a range of nearly six octaves, from F1 (in There Was a Time) in the second-lowest octave in scientific pitch notation, to B flat 6 (Ain't it Fun), five octaves above it. Rose has a lower baritone than Barry White, and can reach higher notes than Tina Turner and Beyoncé. Bono "only" has a 3-octave range but his ability to build an emotional moment is stunning. Here's a cool interactive chart about vocal range. Some of my favorite vocalists are in the 3- to 3-1/2 octave range. time.com/105319/compare-vocal-ranges-of-worlds-greatest-singers/*** JMHO if 28 year old Freddie Mercury arrived in Madison Square Garden today, he would probably be pretty much in step with the time. Freddie not theatrical? This is from 1987 and includes many of Freddie's looks from his career --- plus, a bonus: Roger Taylor in drag. youtu.be/ILQMwcKXP7MThis is the video that Adam did an homage to when he performed "Feeling Good" on Idol. youtu.be/Zo1eMyv2qZMWhats your point other then showing off just saying. I never said Freddie wasent theatrical. Just Adams theatrical style is more current. Times change.

This has been an exhausting day for me on Adamtopia....So tired of all the singing comparisons ... I know who sends me and Adam SENDS ME. I could care less who sings what on the musical scale.. I just want to feel and Adam makes me feel all kinds of wonderful.
Good night all

This is the video that Adam did an homage to when he performed "Feeling Good" on Idol. Wait, did Adam ever confirm that this performance was an homage, or is this just an inference being made based on the stairs and the suit? It's incredibly awesome either way though. I never made the connection before!

I tried to support it with some facts and illustrate my point about Freddie with a video. Rob Cavallo's compliment about Adam was great -- but I do not think vocal range is what distinguishes Adam. I think it is have more to do with his control of the dynamics, timbre (AKA color/tone quality) and so on to create an emotion. And how he connects his voice to his entire being. I believe Freddie was not time-locked and much of what he did can be seen in many arena shows on tour now. I believe that Adam is not a time-locked either but is a unique talent.

Before I started following Adam's career I never took any notice of other artist really if I liked a song I liked it, it didn't bother me either way. Don't get me wrong I love music but a song is a song it's how it connects to you it's a personal thing. From the moment I saw Adam on AI I couldn't get enough, that was my personal connection. Nothing anyone says to the negative will change how I feel about this amazing artist and person. Like many of you I am here for the ride it's totally unconditional of what ever happens.
