Mod comment: Edited to remove duplicate picture. We are trying to make the daily thread load smoother for mobile users by controlling the number of large pics, gifs and videos per page. Please do not take it personally if we edit your post for this purpose, and when you post, try to remove pictures, gifs, videos, etc that have already been posted. Thanks.
Thanks for the recommendation. Will try to do that. But, I am not planning to delete stuff that is repeated from many pages back. I am targeting the multiple repeats on a single page, because that is what screws up the loading for mobile devices and tablets.
Oh, yes and good luck with this when the tour starts up. Just saying. I have some other strong feelings about this but it is not my decision or place to say what or how this board should be managed.
When the tour starts I hope that members will be aware of the problems with multiple large pics, gifs, and videos on a single page. I hope they will help reduce the problems by not copying the images when they reply. They can also help by providing links rather than images when they see that the page is visually crammed. If we work together everyone can enjoy the forum without freezing their devices.
