Since the thread runneth over with love for Atop, I'd like to share a short story. I somehow found PF when I began following Adam and was a dedicated lurker. I, too, was shocked when it went poof. My life had gone to hell at the same time and I felt adrift.
It took me awhile to find Atop. I stumbled onto MJ's and kept hearing about this Atop place. One day I decided to check it out and here YOU ALL WERE! I cried, literally. And I was a lurker, for Pete sakes. I saw familiar names and personalities, jumped up and down like a ninny, and started lurking again.
One day I decided to post. I did not want to be an outsider anymore. I wanted a voice that could express all the gratitude I felt for the days and nights you all kept me company
and continue to do so. I wanted to laugh and cry with you. To share all things Adam and to be part of a community. You welcomed me with open arms.
I my world I see whatever I am creating at a particular moment is my reality, therefore, Atop is real to me. Each person who posts here is real. The name you post is your name..whatever birthday you choose is yours. I don't differentiate. I take what you say on Atop as your truth on this board. Whatever you do outside of here is yours. We share aspects of ourselves as we see fit.
I speak this because I want you to know from one person's world, what a difference all of you make. I am tickled beyond words I found you all again and that Q3 has made Atop this haven, this oasis. Never doubt that each post appearing here is being read by someone, somewhere. As that dedicated lurker, I can assure you your reach is wide.
All Adam sites bring recognition to Adam and support him. For longevity, he will need support from many avenues. People are attracted to different boards for different reasons. They all have value. For me, Atop is home and 'there's no place like home'..
