Thanks, MyS*&@^#r and nic42 - and MayaHave done that now....just thought I'd try to send some pics as I'm sitting reasonably close. My technical skills are second only to my ticket touting skills.... Maybe you could even do the audio stream from Glasgow? It is supposed to be very easy & you can jump up and down and dance. Doesn't interfere with the enjoyment of the concert as a video stream does! It is easy to do an audio stream. I can't even take a decent photo and I managed to do two GNT concerts -- just audio. If you are willing, there are some fans who will help you set it up and do all the work except be there. All you need is any cellphone -- the newer smartphones tend to have better microphones.

I think Adam said he learnt alot from DC season. In terms of arrangements, and putting his own spin on songs. But I think Adam took what DC did, and brought it to a whole new level. He ended up reinventing classics. And since then is basically made his millions off being the cover king haha. I have to presume, this is a mix up. As it seems very odd, to compare the current succesfull front man of Queen, to someone no offense to his fans but is kinda obselete. If he did mean it, well that is his opinion. But they clearly do not represent the views of many.
I don't think Adam said that exactly. I think Adam said that DC opened the door for him in regards the re-arrange songs things. Even before he went on Idol Adam already re-arranged songs that he sang (see crazy, all songs he sang on that cabaret club or that Change's Gonna Come from that underground club in LA) . So nothing he learned from DC about arrangements, he already did it far before Idol.

Gelly retweeted 3m nilerodgers's avatar Nile Rodgers @nilerodgers RT @feraltwirler: Was this hungover adam? @adamlambert doing session w @nilerodgers pic.twitter.com/lQlUbKX0Iu {Yes, but he sung his A$$ off} ![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B7Jp9wdCYAEGMic.jpg:large) This is not how I pictured Adam singing 'Lay me down' AT ALL! Based on the stories -- Adam and Nile's -- this is exactly how I pictured him!! *** When I was putting together the best of poll, I listened to a lot of Adam's performances of the same song to pick the best. What I learned is he is almost always at his best. The performances vary, the arrangements change, he captures different emotional moments but they are all of similar sterling vocal quality. The "best ofs" were often a performance at a significant place or time -- for example, try to pick the best performance of KQ or OOL or Chokehold or Soaked? Some of the picks were because the venue had great acoustics and Adam played with them a bit ("Soaked" Knoxville GNT, "Dragon Attack" Q+AL Atlantic City). For a couple I just picked the Forum or MSG because they were important shows because I needed a tiebreakers. And for a few, like Portland AI WLL, it was because it was a hot performance. But vocally, the consistency was astounding. Now, I have been to a couple bad shows (the worst being Sayerville GNT #2) but that had little to do with Adam. The venue was a pit, the sound system was terrible, they sold too many tickets (GA plus many comps), the security guards were awful, we "had to" wait in line for 9 hours in the heat and sun to get in. But over the weekend I was curious and listed to some YTs from this concert and Adam was excellent -- he was the only great thing about that show. I really do not think he is human. *** For all the talk about Freddie vs. Adam, in one way they are vastly different. Freddie was "mercurial" and he knew it -- clearly. Adam is steady, consistent and reliable. I credit Adam's stage training for his steadiness. "Rock stars" can be erratic, musical theater performers must perform their seven or eight shows a week at the top level. Freddie got in shape for concert by have a tumbler or two of vodka, Adam has his personal trainer with him and a contract rider for a tea pot for his throatcoat tea (and probably a lot of kale).

It has been my experience that some people simply form the habit of always doing exceptional work. It really does become a habit and easily HeWhoCannot ameds mood, health, level of exhaustion, and everything else. These people are few and far between but they do exist- and I think that Adam is one. It is simply not in him to half ass a performance- whether in a slaughterhouse, at a small private birthday party, or anywhere else. He has trained himself to always do his personal best at that moment. That doesn't mean he won't protect his voice or do what he must to sustain himself over the course of a very long tour. It just means that he's not going to do a crappy job just because he could get away with it. It just means that he has his own set of standards to live up to. IMO that is a very good quality that is lacking in many people.
