The concert times are nicely in the evening for us in Europe. I thought I could have a productive day and still get online in good time before concert. In reality very little 'productiveness' and most of the time spent with reading newspaper and threads here. Well, it's the first night, I'll get used to this, right? Love reading the tweets and posts from people travelling to Newcastle and their excitement is contagious. Hoping the stream will work I'm ready. Bring it on!    |

Queen and Adam Lambert
The countdown is well and truly on to the region’s biggest gig of 2015 so far- Queen & Adam Lambert at the Metro Radio Arena. Excitement for their show- the first UK gig of their tour- has been building and building and was increased even further after their barnstorming BBC broadcast on New Year’s Eve. If you’re heading along tonight here’s all the important information you need to know. When are Queen & Adam Lambert on stage?Doors Open: 6.30pm Queen + Adam Lambert: 8.15pm - 10.45pm Show End: 10.45pm How do I get to the arena?
By car: The arena is three minutes away from the A1- take the A184 signposted ‘City Centre’, then follow the A189 over the Redheugh Bridge. If you want to park at the arena, there are more than six hundred parking spaces in the official car park, and an NCP car park close by if the arena’s car park is full. By public transport: Two bus routes can drop you off on Railway Street next to the arena, No 22 from Market Street to the Arena, the last one is 6:25pm, and No 604 from Eldon Square, the last one is 11:00pm. If you take the Metro, nearest stop Central Station is about a 10 minute walk or taxis are available.
Where can I drop off/pick up?Dropping off can be made along Railway Street. You are advised to collect people from an area away from the Arena as it is likely that you will become involved in heavy traffic. For many shows the road at the front of the building, Redheugh Bridge Road, will be closed for pedestrian safety and approach should be made via Pottery Lane from the east, or up Shot Factory Lane from Skinnerburn Road next to the river. Is food and drink available at the arena?Yes alcohol and soft drinks are available, with alcohol allowed to be taken from the foyer into the arena itself. Food such as crisps, sweets, donuts and hot dogs are also available. |

Hmm, the pic... I can't see them well enough to really recognize anyone. Who is Seth? And Shosh is small, I would say those are all guys?

I am trying to figure out Stone Cold Crazy done in the leopard suit with a crown on his head leading off the encores. Is there an incredibly long improv by Brian at the end of CCLCL so that Adam can change? He can't get those tight SCC pants off so maybe the leopard pants go over the SCC get up? Ah. Maybe that's why they are looser than we like! I guess he can strip off the jacket and put on the leopard suit top but what about the boots? Maybe he wears the black and gold footwear. Then he has to get pants on over the boots. Sigh. Why do I spend time I need to spend otherwise thinking about these things? As you all say, inquiring minds need to know! The more I think about it, I'm betting that Crazy Little Thing is the new set closer and the encore is still WWRY/Champions. Just my thought. |
