"It's become increasingly popular for celebrities to turn their birthdays into fundraising campaigns for the organization charity: water, which helps fund clean water projects in the developing world. Justin Bieber, Alyssa Milano, Jessica Biel, and others have all raised tens of thousands - but it's Adam Lambert's 29th birthday that's a stunning standout. The former "American Idol" runner-up months ago told fans that for his 29th birthday, he had a goal to raise $29,000. Unbelievably, fans quickly raised the cash in only six hours! Adam was then encouraged by fans to raise the new goal to $290,000 - and 24 hours later, $60,000 had been reached." I just love the fact that almost every article about charitywater tells the actual facts, that his goal was 29000 and then it got up to 290000. It tells SOMETHING about our passion for him and maybe someone will check him out and see why this artist is so special and why the fans love him so much.

I hate those copyright things! >:( I can't see or listen to some of the videos on Youtube or on AdamOfficial because of the copyright agreements. And this also happens with the Southband recordings in Youtube: parts 1 and 2 don't work, but parts 3 and 4 are playing ok. Luckily the link to the recording on Box.net -site is working and I managed to listen the entire program. Okay, I do understand that you have to protect everyone's rights to their property, but still... :-/ - Mia - mia when you cant see a vid, ask from this person to give you just the url or you can "quote" this person's post to copy just the url from the post and then go here and surf anonymously. I saw all the vids from the Soundbath and many fan vids with this site. If you need any help pm me. hidemyass.com/youtube-proxy/ETA here are the urls from the Soundbath you can copy them soundbath.wordpress.com/2011/04/16/introducing-grammy-nominated-sonyrca-recording-artist-adam-lambert-on-uk-radio/thank you Gelly I just tried it and it worked

I'm an Ox in the Chinese calendar for the year I was born. I fit the description very well. I also have a book that combines the Sun sign and Chinese sign and WOW, I was blown away. By far the majority of folks I looked up fit and trust me, the descriptions are long and NOT generic or similar one to the other. I wanna read this book!!! What's the name? The New Astrology: A Unique Synthesis of the World's Two Great Astrological Systems: The Chinese and Western [Paperback] Suzanne White (Author) It's fun to read and look up people - even as a parlor game for the skeptics. LOL

I'm not into astrology, but sounds interesting. I don't know how you guys find out your Chinese sign. The one I've seen links the birth year to a Chinese sign. For example, born in 2011 is a Rabbit. But that will be inaccurate if you are born in latter Jan, Feb, or early March. Chinese new year falls somewhere in February normally (this year was on Feb 3rd) so born on/after Feb 3rd is Rabbit, prior to that is a Tiger. Next Chinese New year is on Jan 23, 2012, so born prior to Jan 23, 2012 is still a Rabbit, after that is a Dragon. I remember one year there was a double lunar month, (i.e. 2 Julys or something like that), that pushed the Chinese new year into March the next year. I always remind and wish happy birthday to my kids on their lunar birthday.

The book has an extensive chart at the beginning, but I'm sure you could find one on line. I'm a bad fan though, I haven't looked up Adam in there yet. My book is packed away right now because on a never ending remodeling project - but now I'm curious. :

OT....I just want to say I am so envious of Atopians and anyone who can see music in colors! What a dimension that must add to performances of really great talents like Adam!! I would love to hear an Adam concert broken down into the colors the person sees with each song. "Synesthete" (I don't know if I spelled that right) really fascinates me and I'd love to find a good book on it.

Please, Adam, don't tell us you looove Oh Land. I watched one live video and it was sad. The woman has singing talent somewhere between Kesha and Katy Perry. Plus, for extra flair, she can hit an electric drum head with a stick. ETA: I after reading the thread, I see other people like Oh Land. I guess I don't get it. Oh well. LOL!! I always check out the various artists Adam tweets about. Sometimes I like their music, and sometimes I'm like WTF?!! For me, Oh Land falls into the latter category!! Me too, unfortunately. But I am glad he has eclectic tastes because he has introduced me to artists I enjoy.

Absolutely, mys*&@^#r, in fact I think they should just forget about it this year completely cause Mercury is in and out all year. Sound good to you?? ;D ;D Ha, ha! Yes, that is even betterer! LOL, my very BRIEF foray with substitute teaching started with the ~nightmare fifth-grade class. When I mentioned what class I had for my first day, the teachers in the lounge would give me this look and I half expected to hear a DUN DUN DUNNN organ music playing. The class had about 65 percent boys and four or five of them were ADHD. Needless to say, I quickly reevaluated my aspirations for being a sub. Oh, and back to Adam ... I bet he was a living doll to his teachers. ;D That charity:water story is so awesome; I love the way the green sites are picking it up and man, that number really carries A LOT of weight I think to marketers and orgs who are dependent on donations for their organization. C'mon, endorsement deals!! BTW: Someone just told me on Twitter that Perez only raised $13K for his birthday effort. I'm very sad for the charity, which seemed like a great cause, but I think those stats speak volumes. PH may have a gazillion followers, but are they at all invested in him? Apparently not.
