Susie Fierce said: BTW: Someone just told me on Twitter that Perez only raised $13K for his birthday effort. I'm very sad for the charity, which seemed like a great cause, but I think those stats speak volumes. PH may have a gazillion followers, but are they at all invested in him? Apparently not. ITA: I remember when the Bieb announced his Charity Water drive soon after Adam. I had the feeling he thought he'd blow Adam right "out of the water" so to speak. I just checked and with 41 days left he has around $41,500. Poor BeiBei. It's respectable, but it ain't Adam. ;D And when we can make the world a better place and support Adam at the same time, we are a force with whichntombe reckoned! That's why we throw moneynAdam's way. We know that the world, especially our own little parts of it, is a better place when Adam's voice rings through it, LOL? My perspective as a member of Atop is that we are a group of highly committed individuals, who put our money where our hearts are. I read many comments on charity:water that spoke of Adam, but moreso of their desire to make the world a better place. That this is a charity people wanted to back. We are intelligent and loyal and WE SPEND MONEY!! Honestly, what artist wouldn't want us as a fanbase?? Srsly.

Neil is in his element! I've never seen him look so happy! Good for him! ;D I don't think it's the elephant that is making Neil so happy. I wonder if we're going to get a glimpse of the new girlfriend. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Back later..looks like I'm spamming the thread. Just can't keep up with all of you

If Adam decides to come to NYC it wouldn't be bad timing.
I believe Sutan is still here and will be at a club next weekend. On Monday after next, the winner of RuPaul's drag race will be crowned at another club. (I plan on attending). Sutan will be there as well, and most are expecting that he has won. And there's always The Blonds to visit. Adam has been at one of their parties for his last two visits. And whatever happened to that new jacket?
edit: Oh, and what's so terrible about Adam following Sauli to NY? Sauli followed Adam to France and to LA from Europe twice. LA to NY is nothing compared to that.

I wonder if the dates for Mercury in retrograde rule out a November 22/Black Friday week release for Adam #2? I'm all for anything that will get the album out earlier in the fall! The Scissors Sisters put on a great show, too. Fun and high-energy. The audience was easily half gay men of all ages, plus lots of hipsters, lol. Jake Shears jumps around like a maniac, wearing clothes that show off his great body, and then removing lots of them. Funny, though, I didn't really find his performance sexy (and I'm not sure it's actually meant to be.) Adam in a million layers exudes more sexiness with a single glance. NoAngel, I saw the Scissor Sisters here last weekend. What a fun show! At several points, I thought if Adam did (or even spoke about) some of the things Jake did on stage there would be a riot in the streets! Jake's moves didn't seem particularly sexy to me either, but they were entertaining. It would have been cool to have had Oh Land as an opening act, too (I watched the videos posted here and I really liked the "Wolf & I" song). I need to hear more of her to form an opinion on her music. DJ Sammy Jo "opened" the Scissor Sisters show here in Atlanta, and he was terrific. The whole audience loved him, even the ushers were dancing. I wish I could find out his playlist 'cause I'd buy every song he spun. I wonder if they were his remixes, 'cause if so, I wish he could work with Adam. The talk about synethesia reminded me of a good book I read by K.A. Mitchell called Life Over Easy: Fragments. Nothing to do with music or Adam, but hopefully not too OT since one of the main characters develops synethesia (after an Olympic diving accident) and it's a male-male romance, for those interested (here's the first chapter and part of the second, with all the prerequisite warnings not to click if this kind of fiction doesn't appeal to you .

See. This is what I am talking about. This post is a beautiful gem. I am cutting and pasting into my beautiful-gems-from-Atopia sheet. Love love love stories like this! The change was taking place very slowly but no longer. It is happening very quickly right now and it is damn exciting. IKR? skylar, I did the same thing... copied and pasted it into my "best posts" folder!! I love it when Lynne writes about her students!! Lynne: Do you hear that? I LOVE IT when you tell stories about your students!!!! Skylar and Seoul: Aw, thanks for letting me share from time to time. Teaching is a "fierce" passion in my life.

murly - this and the rest of your post make me think we MAY BE THE SAME SIGN! ;D ;D ;D crispy said: I'll bet you're a Virgo -we're all skeptics! It's what makes us Virgos. If you believe that Virgos are skeptics then you're not a skeptic. I'm not a Virgo & I'm a skeptic. I hope he's not in NY. Unless he's recording or writing there & not just trotting after Sauli. Actually I can't imagine Adam trotting after anyone. [/quote] I love New York and can never find enough excuses to go. Taking a fun weekend trip and then heading back to work seems pretty normal to me.

If Adam is in NYC right now, I can understand his appreciation for 88 degrees. It is rainy, very windy, and 45 degrees in Manhattan right now. It's SNOWING in Chicagoland right now. Arg! (I guess pirate is contagious.)
