Gosh It was the first night I really enjoyed Idol in years... It was fun,it was sassy and Adam was like one of the regular judges. He just fit the part and gave good info. to the contestants. He also looked gorgeous.Harry is unstoppable, really funny but has to have all if not most of the attention.. He made me crack up for two hours...
I love Idol for giving Adam so much air time... having that segment singing years ago and again now,was so wonderful.AI really loves Adam it's so apparent. How Adam has grown from a boy into a man..I'm just overjoyed at all the good news for Adam and for his fans.
With Adam's new record company and his new album.. The Adam Queen haters will have no more reason to fear Adam taking over Freddie's legacy and IMHO the hate will come to an end. After this Queen and Adam tour is over, Queen fans are going to really miss Adam with Queen.. Just my thinking and opinion.. You know you never know what you have until you lose it. Nobody can replace Adam With Queen in today's music scene. It's a win win for Adam all the way around. I can't stop smiling

I really enjoyed AI tonight. I caught myself grinning like a loon a few times. So many good moments. And maybe best of all, it didn't feel like the show or Adam's part in it just flew by. It felt really substantial. I liked Adam's critiques, his humor, and his chemistry with the other judges (though what was up with that chair-spacing situation?). And I liked how attentive and focused he was on the contestants (his love and respect for music, and just plain courtesy to other singers, was so apparent). And he looked so handsome! I quite liked his singing, too. : ) I thought there were a few really good prospects among the Idol auditioneers also. Wish I could see Adam on TV more regularly. What an amazing week this has been!

I thought that Sinatra guy was a plant - a joke - because he looked about 35 to me. Guess not.

Thanks for sharing. It makes me incredibly happy to see Adam still carrying a messenger bag not much different than the one he had leaving his idol audition. I don't know why that makes me smile. I guess it's a sign fame hasn't changed Adam at his core.

mmadamimadamm @mmadamimadamm 44s44 seconds ago RT @noangelpf: ‘American Idol’ recap: New York auditions with Adam Lambert and talent overflowing radiotvtalk.blog.ajc.com/2015/01/15/american-idol-recap-new-york-auditions-with-adam-lambert/ …

Yowza! This was one of the best nights in recent memory for “American Idol” auditions, courtesy of New York. Talent was overflowing. There were several folks I could see going into the top 10. If there was an episode to give die-hard “American Idol” fans still following the show hope a star could be born this year, tonight was the night. Jax, Najah, Quaasim, Adam, Travis and “Hollywood” are all very strong candidates right off the bat to make it to the top 24. I’m excited to see them all again in a couple of weeks. Interestingly, the bus tour audition out of Kansas City that aired yesterday generated very little in comparison. And it was great to see Adam Lambert as a guest judge, subbing in for Keith Urban, who had to take a short leave to deal with his wife Nicole Kidman‘s father dying. Lambert was solid and helpful though he clearly laid back a bit out of respect for the two regular judges. HCJ was both goofy and astute as usual and J Lo has proven to be the best female judge ever on the show by a long shot.

Interesting way to spend two hours. Adam looked gorgeous. Classy. Professional. Expert. Nice guy. Having a good time.
Made the contestants the most important thing when they were in the room. Gave good face (encouraging, affirming, warm, attentive while the contestants were singing).
J Lo gets a hella lot of face time on camera. Seriously. Director loves her. Felt that as a guest judge, they spent less time on Adam's responses than on J Lo's and Harry's. I guess that is to be expected. But they showed very little of this insightful advice Adam was reputed to have given contestants. Actually, none of the judges gave much feedback in the final edited version. But at least they no longer show the excruciatingly bad auditions any more. Whew!
Then Adam steps up and sings. O M G
O
M
G
In a different league, different universe than the contestants. It served to show just how extraordinary Adam was and is.
A little trivia for music nerds like me: In Adam's original audition, he sang Bo Rhap in a half step higher key than he sang it this time. The producers used some kind of electronic wizardry to make the two auditions match. He sang it in basically the same key as he does with Queen. Interesting that he has the kind of ear to pick that key "out of the blue". Indicates close to perfect pitch. Cool.

Loved Adam on Idol and the repeat audition.
He was very generous with his praise for the contestants overall.
Harry was an annoying little shit.
I liked JLo better than I remembered.
As usual, though, I thought that they gave away way too many tickets to Hollywood.
My ears didn't seem to hear all that many good voices.
