Watching Idol again and wanted to say something about the comments about Adam's chair being "off." I thought I noticed something yesterday, but wanted to watch again to confirm. It is, IMO, just the way Adam is sitting. JLo stays straight in the middle with her chair pulked all the way into the table. Harry pretty much stays straight too except when he is clowning around. But Adam moves his chair all around. He swivels, goes back, and most of the time has his left leg 1/2 way crossed over his right knee (resting on top if it.) When he has his leg crossed, that is when it most looks like he is farther away from the other 2 judges because he is not as close to the table

American Idol Season 14 continued apace this week in Kansas City and New York, with enough fabulous auditions to actually make me start believing again in the show’s oft-Seacrest-professed slogan, “American Idol creates stars.” And if new hopefuls like Hollywood Anderson, Jax, Joey Cook, and Stephanie Gummelt weren’t enough to renew my faith in the show’s star-making power, then Season 8 superstar Adam Lambert — returning not only as the first former contestant to serve as a guest judge, but reprising his “Bohemian Rhapsody” audition from 2009 — was the clincher. Today, my new regular “The Day After” co-host, Season 6 alum and onetime TV Guide Channel Idol correspondent Brandon Rogers, joins me to discuss Adam’s judging debut, along with the stunning musical debuts of all the contestants mentioned above and more. Can any of these contestants become the next Adam Lambert? Or the next Brandon Rogers? Watch and find out!

Some interesting observations (mine) about last nite's AI. It would have had lower ratings no matter what, I watched part of the previous nite, and it was horrible. The contestants weren't very good, and the overall production was marginal. So I think people thought why waste 2 hours the following evening. It was interesting to see that JLo huddled very closely to Harry C. for most of the broadcast. Jlo spoke a lot, and Harry did more theatrics than judging, which gave Adam very little time to comment. Jlo was constantly looking at Harry, and the two talking while contestants were singing was rude. I think JLo is totally intimidated by Adam, his professionalism, which caused her to up her game fortunately. I think she is so intimidated by his beauty, his knowledge, and talent, and his general charm, wit and musical knowledge. She huddled to Harry for safeness and comfort. Maybe she also was shocked at the fact he was more honest with the contestants, and said no to a lot more than she would have. I think Adam significantly upped the ante, which was good. I loved the way he really listened to each contestant and gave them their opportunity. This show is on it's way down and the headline of blaming Adam for last nite's low rating is laughable.
I've watched a few AI last year and this year, from what I've seen JLo's always huddle or sitting closely to Harry than to Keith. Not sure why. Keith's very kind and friendly but he's very professional as well and his wife's more beautiful that JLo IMO.
Maybe it only appears that Jlo is sitting closer to Harry because of the camera perspective. The camera is on Adam's side so the space between Jlo and Harry is shortened, while the space between Adam and Jlo appears wider.. If the shot was taken from the front of the judges, it may appear that there is equal distance between all of them.. Just a thought..
