OT well maybe not. It's an Adam problem for fans
On Tweetdeck, of the people I follow, I get ALL their tweets in my feed, even tweets they make to people I don't follow.
Is there a way to get ALL of Adam's tweets on your feed at twitter.com, even the @replies he makes to people you don't follow?
ETA: is there a way to add a comment onto a RT at twitter.com?

Just heard Cook's new Ryan Tedder pop single -- and if they do anything like that to Adam #2, I will get ill. Adam is in a different genre and is headed in a totally different direction from Cook but still -- RCA could also release a generic pop "ready for HAC radio" song for Adam. (Although I really doubt that RCA is that foolish!) Message to the Universe and to AFL -- so not be deluded into the safe pop path. It is a cul de sac. Does Cook's song sound like a 'hit' in your opinion ?

Does Cook's song sound like a 'hit' in your opinion ? I'll jump in here with my unsolicited opinion LOL.I just heard it for the first time an hour ago and my first opinion..meh. My second opinion? This is Goo Goo Dolls album filler. My third opinion was that it was total generic pop rock crapola. My fourth opinion was that DC deserves better. My fifth opinion was well, maybe David Cook doesn't have the creative control/vision/cajones to make the kind of album he wants. Or maybe this IS what he wants to make. Either way it's horrifying LOL. Now I was never a David Cook fan (didn't watch his season) but the dude seems nice and talented and this is just dreck. I can't see it being played on pop stations. It doesn't fit in with the current musical scene and it's dated, it skews older. Towards Lite FM stations. The background noise to cubicle workers everywhere! lol. I would be REALLY shocked if this single is a hit. I will also be surprised if his album sells well given a) the extra long abscence (I bet a lot of casual fans have forgotten about him...I almost did too! oops!) b)and unremarkable lead single. Poor David. And to make this OT... I sure hope Adam doesn't dissapoint! First Gaga then Beyonce's crap leaked single and now this....blargh.

Possibly, chunkey (about Aftermath.) But in my mind, the "devoted fanbase" would buy it no matter what. If that is the case, then I would say his core US fanbase is around 5,000. Maybe I am wrong. He toured the U.S. and hit spots that filled that many seats in one venue. He's sold over 800K copies of his CD in the U.S.,over 1.6 million singles of WWFM, 300K of FYE and 800K of IIHY not to mention 24K of the Live DVD. you said maybe you are wrong but can you clarify why you think Adam only has a core fanbase of 5K people in the U.S. because that number seems way off to me. I think Adam will have a much easier time getting radio play this time around because he won't be coming off an ill fated initial single (FYE) or having to answer questions about a controversial performance instead of talking about him album/single. I'd been wondering about this for awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if Adam's core buy-everything fanbase is around 5,000 in the US. His charity water contributions were around 5,700--and the difference in amount raised for the Trevor Project vs. charity water might have to do with the amount of $ spent per person, not the number of people doing it. (Of course some folks made multiple donations/purchases, but someone on another site analysed this for the charity:water campaign, and only a small fraction of the donors were doing this). I do think the fact that many countries couldn't buy the remix off AO impacted sales, and that the charity aspect seems to work better if there is some competition or ability to write notes/record names involved as it encourages ongoing activity/donations. So obviously casual fans and new fans are vital buyers, so I agree with everybody about the lead single. If you want to see an interesting comparison of the differences a lot of single radio play can make in bringing in casual fans, look at the differences in how fast Bruno Mars overtook Adam in twitter followers: twittercounter.com/compare/BrunoMars/Adamlambert/3month/followersDifferent artists and different audiences....I think Adam is doing incredibly great.. Why compare ??????It's again I got 98 on a test where are the other 2 points.. Lots of angst today... Adam tweet a photo.. quick. I agree, longevity is the key - someone needs to do some research on people who were famous in the 90's and where are they now ?

Thanks rihannsu! I love this stuff. Sorry for the ramble and lateness but these bit made me think of Adam and the making of #2 “The stopping of sounds and rhythms,” he added, “it’s really important, because, you know, how can I miss you unless you’re gone? If you just keep the thing going like a loop, eventually it loses its power.” I remember my first listen to FYE the single and I was so sad at first. I remember thinking where are the pauses? It just keeps going. I ended up thinking the same thing on many of the songs even if they did grow on me. Then in that clip of the making of the CD we hear Adam requesting "More submittable space." Dr. Levitin’s results suggest that the more surprising moments in a piece, the more emotion listeners perceive — if those moments seem logical in context.
“It’s deviation from a pattern,” Mr. Ma said. “A surprise is only a surprise when you know it departs from something.” This makes me think of two of Adam's contributions to FYE. The bridges in strut and PUU. Two of my favorite bits in the whole album which makes me excited that he'll have more input. The man knows drama. “You’ve heard plenty of great, great singers that leave you cold,” she said. “They can do gymnastics, amazing things. If you have limitations as a singer, maybe you’re forced to find nuance in a way you don’t have to if you have a four-octave range.” It's true, many of the great vocalists like Celine Dion, Mariah leave me flat. Adam is so smart to realize it's not the notes you hit..."But does it sound cool?" He's the best male vocalist out there and as much as I want people to realize this, I'd still rather they just think he sounds cool. Musicians like Mr. Simon consider slight timing variations so crucial that they eschew the drum machines commonly used in recordings. Dr. Levitin says Stevie Wonder uses a drum machine because it has so many percussion voices, but inserts human-inflected alterations, essentially mistakes, so beats do not always line up perfectly.
And Geoff Emerick, a recording engineer for the Beatles, said: “Often when we were recording some of those Beatles rhythm tracks, there might be an error incorporated, and you would say, ‘That error sounds rather good,’ and we would actually elaborate on that.
“When everything is perfectly in time, the ear or mind tends to ignore it, much like a clock ticking in your bedroom — after a while you don’t hear it.” I love this and hope Adam gets to read this article as it goes with his "more organic" description. I bet he would love these little tricks. Happy Passover to all who celebrate!
