It is one of many preview articles. It is not a review. That was a joke. I know it is a "preview" but essentially, they are "reviewing" something they have not seen in person yet! There was a newspaper in NA that did that too, can not remember where, & I waited for their Review to come as a follow up. It never happened!  I thought you were joking and I thought it was funny. Actually, it is NOT a review of the show. It is a preview article about the collaboration. It is just not very complimentary to Adam, Brian or Roger. He appears to love Freddie a lot, Queen not so much. The author, Benjamin Chapon @benjaminchapon, is a music journalist for 20 Minutes. He seems to always be a bit or a lot snarky. I can translate the words but cannot translate the snark. He is someone who writes a lot from an elitist point of view on culture. In my words, a French cultural snob. |

Thank you! This has been driving me nuts ever since I first heard SWM. It was so familiar that at the time I thought why is SS getting such accolades for singing a 'cover'? Once I even checked on line for an earlier version of SWM to no avail. I just did not connect this with Tom Petty. Duh! And this was off the only TP cd I ever bought! Good for the Petty peeps. |
