The video is at the link. Nice little piece. But I don't get how people (media) keep saying stuff like this: "Within a five-year span, the Indiana-based singer released two studio albums, embarked on five tours and starred in various TV series." Just because you were born somewhere doesn't mean you've lived there your whole life. Good grief. A quick look at his Wikipedia pages would fix that.

More info (and many photos) on Adam's Debbie Does Dallas gig can be found on Page 9 of Pre Idol starting here: atop.proboards.com/post/9867/thread04C. Bronson, Fred. "Adam Lambert: The ultimate interview, Part Three." Los Angeles Times 10 August 2009. Original link doesn't work: latimesblogs.latimes.com/americanidoltracker/2009/08/adam-lambert-the-ultimate-interview-part-three.html ATop link: atop.proboards.com/post/89571/threadAdam: ...Then I did a production of “Debbie Does Dallas” in Lake Tahoe. It was a topless revue at Harveys Casino. I was desperate. I could not find a job. It was going to pay me. They were going to put me up. It was with Anita Mann, the woman who did the cruise ship. I went up there and I was missing the person I was with and I was miserable because I was in a long-distance relationship and the show, when it was pitched to me, sounded like it was going to be a different situation and it tuned out to be not the most professional situation in the world. There was hardly an audience. They wanted to see boobs. They didn’t want to hear me sing, so they would talk. It was not a good gig.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dane Agostinis Replaced Adam in Debbie Does Dallas and he liked it. I did The Great American Trailer Park tour for about ten months. My first professional job was as a replacement in Debbie Does Dallas the Musical in Tahoe. Windy City Times: What kind of a show is that? Dane Agostinis: It is a crazy show! One of the most fun roles I have ever done. I played Rick the quarterback. I replaced Adam Lambert. So we lived together for a week and learned the show from him. This was before he became the Adam Lambert on American Idol.Windy City Times: What did he look like at the time? Dane Agostinis: He had blonde hair and freckles. He was kind of a vampire because or show was at 10 o'clock at night at Harrah's Casino so he would come in late and sleep all day.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beauty and the Beast Star Dane Agostinis Dishes About Impressing Tom Cruise and Living with Adam Lambert(Dane Agostinis Replaced Adam Lambert in Debbie Does Dallas) (carrieb contributed article link) fortlauderdale.broadway.com/shows/beauty-and-beast/buzz/158567/beauty-and-the-beast-star-dane-agostinis-dishes-about-impressing-tom-cruise-and-living-with-adam-lambert/?hq_e=el&hq_m=228243&hq_l=12&hq_v=bbc09df9f8What's your Adam Lambert connection? You replaced him in a show called Debbie Does Dallas? Yes, this is before he was the Adam Lambert. I was fresh out of school [New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts/CAP21], and one of my teachers had a connection to someone in the production of Debbie Does Dallas in Lake Tahoe. They needed a replacement because the guy who was doing it, Adam Lambert, was leaving to do Wicked. So there was overlap with Lambert? Adam took a week to teach me the role, and I lived with him for that week. They had us in these cool lodges out in Lake Tahoe. We performed five or six nights a week at 10pm, so we had pretty much the entire day to do what we wanted. When I learned I got the role in New York, my music theory teacher wanted to go over the music with me, so I would be prepared. We tackled it in the way that Adam Lambert—lungs of steel and voicebox of gold—can sing it. I was like, "This is not going to happen. Let’s make some tweaks"’ They were fine with that, and I got to do the role in my own way.
