They need translating. LIFE COMPLETE 26/01 @veroniqueorcel 1m1 minute ago 2 awesome @adamlambert French reviews … …Here's a very quick translation of this one with only the Adam parts, so it's a bit choppy compared to the original which is very well written and positive throughout. Trans:If the Queen purists agree that the group will never be the same without Freddie Mercury and John Deacon, that Queen is no longer Queen, or that the choice of Adam Lambert is more or less justified, is that a reason not to see Brian May and Roger Taylor, founding members of the group, for what may be the last time? Queen and Adam Lambert played the Zenith on January 26 and they meant business. Adam Lambert is dressed all in leather and wears platform boots. He arrives on stage like a beast and with theatricality. He doesn’t let up and the crowd is quickly won over. But it’s especially after Stone Cold Crazy that things get magical. (Note: It’s possible the audience is more familiar with Adam Lambert than Queen.) There’s one hit after another. Another one bites the dust, Fat bottomed girls, and especially Lap of the gods revisited/Seven Seas of Rhye are magnificent. Adam Lambert is a real showman. His voice and theatricality fit perfectly with Queen. But shivers go down our spines once we hear the first cords of Killer Queen. A royal setee is placed on scene and Adam Lambert installs himself. He’s in character and gives us a scintillating performance. Adam Lambert surprises us once more with a sublime Somebody to love. Following another costume change, Adam Lambert returns with Under pressure, and other hits. The singer runs everywhere, often sharing his frenzy with Brian May, and it’s great. There's a superb version of Save Me, followed by Who Wants to live forever. Adam Lambert sings this with ease and impressive vocals (although quite different from Freddie). It’s magnificent. Adam Lambert and Queen continue with I want it all – what a wake-up! Part of the audience is in heaven but others must not be familiar with the song. … The Show Must Go On is splendid. Everyone is impressed. Adam Lambert closes the show with pomp and finally, the last note ends. It was a magnificent concert, majestic. I honestly didn’t expect to be so moved. I was skeptical of seeing the group with Adam Lambert but no, the magic is marvelous and leaves us wanting more. Agreed, Queen will never be Queen again but what they showed us this evening was something very close. It was regal, with Adam Lambert the prince who will become king and Brian May the emperor of riff!
