About 18 months ago, someone who would be in a position to know, told me that Adam had already recorded what he described as some 'new ballads' with Queen. I have no idea of the significance of that comment - perhaps they often record bits and pieces together as they go...perhaps they'll never see the light of day....but perhaps they will.... That's all I've got..... Oooh, YES! YESSS!!! A hint of a possibility of new music with Queen. I would LOVE that to happen.
I hope we find it or them in Adam's new album, TOH.

Music with B&R would be out of this world, but I can't help but notice that they are consistent in saying "no" at least for now , the latest in today's Austrian interview: "May we enjoy the moment and see what may come. But new songs we have not yet spoken."
So, unfortunately I am skeptical, only because had they recorded or written something together they would be phrasing it differently...YMMV...
ETA: on the bright side - I feel they'll make new music together one day!

Remember that news story about Brian paying $10,000 for a seat for the Red Special back in November when he came to the states? Funny thing is that he didn't use it at the Classic Rock Awards when he jammed at the end. I wonder why he would have bothered bringing it with him...just saying. Totally just my wheels turning...

From Nottingham concert. www.ailurophelle.com/2015/01/front-row-at-queen-gig.htmlAILUROPHELLE UK MUSIC BLOG WOW Saturday, 31 January 2015 FRONT ROW AT A QUEEN GIG....... New Years Eve. 'Queen + Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live'. Sitting at home and watching Brian May and Roger Taylor perform with this liberal, wild pretty-boy singer. Take American diva Adam Lambert, a man with a powerhouse vocal range and killer good looks. Eyebrows that deserve their own camera angle. Place him in with one of the most prominent bands of all time and you have one hell of a show. ........... well...actually we know there are other parts that "deserve their own camera angle" too...no reason to limit...but for a newcomer - I understand, needs to start somewhere....for me it all started with his NOSE... 8-)

Not sure what thread to put this one, so hope this is right. Tonight (Saturday) on CBC Radio's Vinyl Cafe, legendary Canadian rocker Randy Bachman, who hosts the show, played a mash-up of Queen's Fat Bottomed Girls and The Beatles Come Together around 7.30 pm. He then talked about both bands (as he does) saying the Brain is one of the greatest guitarists in history - (and Randy should know as he played lead guitar with his band The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner-Overdrive) and said he had heard Queen in the 1970s and again last year when he went to 3 concerts with Adam Lambert. He had effusive praise for Adam and said that after the New Years show in London (he has an apartment there and saw the concert) he was so impressed that he wrote to Brian May telling him how great the show was. Brian May wrote back saying "Adam is a GFG" - Gift from God, that he has revitalized the band & that they are releasing a new album in the next year with some old tunes recorded with Freddie and some new tunes recorded with Adam. That's the first I've heard that Adam will be recording material with Queen but he definitely said it. Did any other Canadians hear the show? I'm going to Email Randy to confirm that Brian actually said they are recording with Adam. Melisende, I was trying to look up this show to see if there is a Podcast or anything. I'm finding CBC's "Vinyl Cafe" has podcasts up to last weekend. However, it is hosted by Stuart McLean. A search for Randy Bachman brings up CBC's "Vinyl Tap" program. I'm not finding any old programs to listen to later last Nov. Maybe someone else will have better luck searching.

God CONCERT morning! The Lambrits @lambritsuk 7m7 minutes ago Just checked all primary ticket sites - no availability for Queen & Adam Lambert last 3 UK shows in Feb - assuming virtual sellout ???? I checked the other day because I was actually playing with the idea of going over for one of the last shows, nothing is available through ticketmaster, even if you choose 1 ticket you still get nothing. Good news for them, bad news for me :(
