I sure wish they had a day off in between concerts. Adam is a trooper, but it must be so hard to go onstage feeling horrible.

Reading all these fans comments about the Frankfurt concert. They didn't get the full of the concert, since Adam's not feeling well. Can you imagine how their responds after the concert if they got what Berlin or Hamburg got? They probably would be like a deer in headlights.

I just got back from the show - my finale for all things Q+AL on this tour^^ Mixed feelings unfortunatly. It's very sad to hear/see he's not feeling well, I definitly noticed by the 2.-3. song. Don't think any casual fan would pick it up though. He covered it exceptionally well, and I actually really liked the way he switched a couple of high notes for low ones. Made for some interesting diversity. The absence of WWTLF still left a void, and WATC was so subdued I was just not enjoying it as much as I would love to. And no singalong at all, which was disappointing. The second part of the show reigned supreme, with IWIA and CLTCL as standouts for me. They just don't depend as much on a good vocal .And of course Save Me was still great despite the lacking high note & ending in head voice. This was the best arena to have voice problems in - the sound was abysmal!! I have never heard anything quite like it, this tinny and aweful mix was hard to endure, even though I was wearing earplugs. And I thought MSG was bad, well they proved me wrong big time. Crowd was very good suprisingly. They all enjoyed it and cheered super loudly. Brian's Solo was unfortunatly dampened by the sound. The Bass Solo now incorporated Dragon Attack among the other deep cuts, which I highly enjoyed - I always find myself singing along to Nevermore. Best concert both voice and energy wise was London for me. I had the great fortune to then attend both of the concerts, where one member of the band was sick.... Cologne was still great in hindsight, just a little off due to Brian's health. |
