Welcome JojoI'm so happy you joined us . Sadly, Adam doesn't get a lot of radio play in Israel. When he does it's mostly WWFM. You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I'd love to know where you're from and how you discovered Adam.

Which doesn't explain why many gay websites fall all over themselves giving credit to Lady Gaga for her stand on gay rights. I guess you have to be famous for it to count? Wait, that can't be it, because some of those same sites don't bother to acknowledge Adam for living the anthem that Gaga is selling. Yeah, there are problems and double-standards. But when I've watched a post that bothers me, there is usually a gay person who is a member of that site who will eventually pipe up and point them out. I've seen a fair number of "being over Gaga" comments and articles lately on these sites. There is plenty of diversity of opinion within any site's natural community, and opinions also change over time, but there is nothing that unites a site and it's members more than an outsider with limited perspective coming in to tell them what's what. This is just what I've observed at least.

New Adam fan here. Been lurking here for a few days. Hello to everyone. There has been many interesting comments about radios playing songs and the influence fans can have. It's a subject I've never considered before, but now find myself very curious about. While I was reading I realized that I don't have any idea what kind of image Adam has here in Europe and do radio stations play his songs a lot? It varies by country --- Adam is getting/has gotten a lot of airplay in Finland, Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Germany, Austria. Moderate airplay in Scandinavia, and Switzerland. Some airplay in the rest of Europe. Very modest in the UK and Ireland.

Regarding the calling out homophobia. Yes, I agree that it is important to do an internal check here. But I've been burned by seeing "calling out" comments by straight women on gay websites and blogs which of course, go over like a lead balloon, and by the dynamics of the pile-on pattern. This is, of course, completely right, as were your other comments. I can totally see how this particular dynamic could make one squirm, and I'm afraid there are probably a number of very active fans who are new to this issue and haven't ever thought about it in non-Adam terms, which makes it unlikely that they'll comment on it in non-Adam terms, or even think about the wider problems in particularly subtle ways. But on the other hand, I suppose this is one of the great things about the Adam Lambert phenomenon. It's brought the attention of some people to an important rights issue who might otherwise never have thought about it. Makes me think of an ad that used to run in Austin in the 80s, for a local church. A pastor is playing golf with some guy, who tells him, if you sink this put, I'll join your church. The pastor sinks it, then smiles at the camera and says "At First Baptist Church, we'll take'em anyway we can get'em." (And I can't believe I just compared Adam Lambert and the gay rights movement to pastor and a baptist church, but hey, why not?) The point is, even if some of the protests are frequently ungainly, and misplaced, and misguided, grating and ignorant in themselves, I supposes it is on the whole a good thing that they're there (and by "there," I really don't mean the gay blogs, which really don't need a bunch of crazy-ass glamberts throwing their "glitter" all over their comments sections. I was thinking more of the dick- jocks who think it is hilarious to ask Adam Lambert if he wants to kiss them because, you know, he likes kissing boys har har har so clever, or, for that matter, the well-meaning idiotic hosts of the Talk (with one exception) who think that because Adam, against stereotype, can lift one of them over his head, this proves that he's a "real man"...) Loved the skull info, btw

Not the biggest fan of the facial hair but here it looks good. Has everyone seen this TwitLonger from Netmeg99? www.twitlonger.com/show/9u7feiIMO Adams fans are not worse than Biebers or (lately) some Beyonce fans. But it made some good points also. Sometimes Adams fans get overprotective and certain bloggers are using this to push them and stir trouble for getting hits. (Moser anyone??) Adam himself showed how one can handle this with class as shown some days ago with that "Abelsanchez" guy. He has won many DJs over and has "recruited" some strong allies. I wish EVERY fan would take this tweet to heart. I said it before and I will say it again, overreaction by his fans could kill his career. Let's hope that never happens. I agree fans can cause trouble and OTT fans can be really annoying. BUT there is no chance that overreaction by some fans can kill an artist's career. Never has happened. Not once. Bad career choices by the artist/management, poor treatment of fans (like not showing up for concerts or starting 2 hours late), and/or music that is not commercial and/or good kills recording careers. And almost always -- career issues follow one or two off target albums.
