 I see Sauli I confess I want to only see them staring into each others eyes or looking out together. I get little pangs when Adam looks forward engaged and Sauli is looking off in some random direction. I know don't say it. I am suuuper sensitive, body language included. Taking big step back. Sauli will be OK even during huge bouts of hanging out twiddling fingers waiting for the return of Adam's attention. But it can't be easy. Not that it matters to me or anything :  I just want everyone happy at all times. I can't help but want to root for the survival of this relationship. Sauli is such a sweetie. Go figure, I'm a hopeless romantic. |

I am going to make this weird sort of 'confession'...for lack of a better word...regarding some pics of Adam. I was reminded of this by the last part of that vid. by details of that photo shoot. I am struck by the similarity in some of Adam's picturs, to my father!! Freudian moment coming up so scroll if you wish!! ??? : It is not that my father looked like ADam or vice versus..but there is something in the mouth that is so 'in my face' when Adam is showing that big, full grin he does sometimes. It is only in and around the mouth but it throws me off every time. This may not be so bad/disturbing if it were not for the fact that I had a very ambivalent and contentious relationship with my father [he passed away almost 15 years ago now] as he was often an abusive man ...more to my mother and brother.... as I tended to fight back more than they. Still, it is really disturbing to look at some of the pictures of him and see my dad....talk about emotional dissonance!! I just went looking for a photo to show what I meant and I realize it is only in the performance vids...when he is posing or in rl it is not there...but when he is all sweaty and has been showing his sexy side and then he breaks into that huge grin....yikes...that is my dad's mouth. go figure....analyze me...it is not pleasant...I don't like the look at all. It is not the campy 'aren't I the naughty one'...it is the big, fleshy, open grinned one that you all go...'he sure is having fun isn't he?'! scary thoughts.....sigh....'be gone damned vision!'... Wow, this is a wonderful thing!! Life is offering you a chance to confront these feelings and reprogram the emotional tenor of this particular image and memory. You have the chance to look at that moment when Adam makes that face, to look at it over and over as many time as you need to diffuse it of its negative significance. This time only think about how Adam is feeling, who Adam is, and what that expression means in his world in that moment. You get to release an angry, hurtful moment. It is a gift. Adam, positive male figure, aiding catharsis. *Kiss* Wow....just logged in to close the computer down and see this!! What a different way to look at it....a little bit of conditioning there...you know, I am going to try that. It has been really bothering me...often..he displays that 'face' often and it disturbs me every time. It is quite uncanny at times....hmmm. "kiss' back!  ETA..sorry...don't like the facial hair either...and that has nothing to do with my father! hahaha |

Mia, Don't ever go because of anything you might say. I have had nights where I have made an ass of myself, and I still come back. When you have been here awhile you will read all kinds of stuff, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Just take it all with a grain of salt and try to laugh at some of the crazy stuff. Bottom line is still "the more the merrier." Stay with us. Stay Mia!!! |

Go figure, I'm a hopeless romantic. Look at this picture.  Yes, they are looking out together, which is what you prefer, but I want you to really look at them. Their connection is palpable. But they can't sit and stare at each other all day. The good thing about Sauli is that he lives in the public eye, at least at home, himself. He knows how this celebrity thing works. If this relationship doesn't last it won't be because Sauli can't handle all of the responsibilities Adam has that don't include him. And they seem to have a strong connection, which is as good a place as any to start. |
