I am going to make this weird sort of 'confession'...for lack of a better word...regarding some pics of Adam. I was reminded of this by the last part of that vid. by details of that photo shoot. I am struck by the similarity in some of Adam's picturs, to my father!! Freudian moment coming up so scroll if you wish!! ??? :  It is not that my father looked like ADam or vice versus..but there is something in the mouth that is so 'in my face' when Adam is showing that big, full grin he does sometimes. It is only in and around the mouth but it throws me off every time. This may not be so bad/disturbing if it were not for the fact that I had a very ambivalent and contentious relationship with my father [he passed away almost 15 years ago now] as he was often an abusive man ...more to my mother and brother.... as I tended to fight back more than they. Still, it is really disturbing to look at some of the pictures of him and see my dad....talk about emotional dissonance!! I just went looking for a photo to show what I meant and I realize it is only in the performance vids...when he is posing or in rl it is not there...but when he is all sweaty and has been showing his sexy side and then he breaks into that huge grin....yikes...that is my dad's mouth. go figure....analyze me...it is not pleasant...I don't like the look at all. It is not the campy 'aren't I the naughty one'...it is the big, fleshy, open grinned one that you all go...'he sure is having fun isn't he?'! scary thoughts.....sigh....'be gone damned vision!'... Wow, this is a wonderful thing!! Life is offering you a chance to confront these feelings and reprogram the emotional tenor of this particular image and memory. You have the chance to look at that moment when Adam makes that face, to look at it over and over as many time as you need to diffuse it of its negative significance. This time only think about how Adam is feeling, who Adam is, and what that expression means in his world in that moment. You get to release an angry, hurtful moment. It is a gift. Adam, positive male figure, aiding catharsis. *Kiss* |

I think that many at this show will know who he is, and he is meeting other stars, but he is in an environment where he doesn't have to worry about fans flailing all over him, or papzz chasing him, etc. Hope he is having a great time! |

And yeah - over-protective-cultlike-mother-rush-to-his-defense type fans have ruined other artists to the public/press - kinda turned them into laughingstocks or jokes and caused great harm PR-wise - example Clay Aiken - and I would hate for that to happen to Adam. :-/ Sorry - I don't buy it. I think Clay's problems had more to do with his music not being radio friendly. If this really dictated how the press/dj's/etc treated an artist, Gaga wouldn't get any play at all. Her little mosters will go after anyone who doesn't worship at her feet. What about Beyonce's fans - the stuff they were tweeting at her label (Sony? Capital?) the other day make the BSC Glamberts look like fluffy little kittens! Or even the C. Brown fans who blast anyone who dares mention their guy's criminal record. I also have to believe the Beiber fans are the kings/queens of group fan organized assults and it sure hasn't hurt him. When DJs/PDs claim that the "fans" are causing them to not play I think it is nothing but an excuse so they don't have to flat out admit that they just don't want to play the artist for other reasons of their own - whether that reason is bias, lack of payola or actually has a sound business reason. The Clay myth has been repeated so many times people believe it to be true. Clay released a debut album (2003) that only his fans bought -- thankfully he had a lot of fans. In 2004 he released a Christmas album. Finally in late 2006 (over 3 years after his debut) he released an AC album with 10 covers. The lead single, Without You (Badfinger cover), was not played on the radio. Well, everything except facial hair. LOLZZZZ =b I'm just getting here today and this is probably OT now but can I join your #teamhatethefacialhair.....TEAM HELL NAW!!!!, CHUNKEYMONKEY?! ;D I don't like to see his gorgeous face hidden in facial hair!  Back to reading the thread. And Mia please don't leave us....we appreciate the many different opinions discussed here in a very friendly spirit. Diversity makes life much more interesting!!
