„I Want To Break Free“, „I Want It All“ und „Radio Ga Ga“ schmettert er ebenso selbstverständlich mit müheloser Leichtigkeit wie die Rockabilly-Hommage „Crazy Little Thing Called Love“ und das energische Hard-Rock-Drama „Tie Your Mother Down“. Bei so viel geballtem Einsatz mögen die beiden Rock-Pensionäre nur ungern zurückstehen: Brian May beglückt mit Akustik-Set („Love Of My Life“, „’39“) sowie minutenlangem Gitarrensolo. Roger Taylor versucht sich an „A Kind Of Magic“, liefert sich darüberhinaus mit Sohn Rufus Tiger Taylor ein Duell am Schlagzeug.
Kult-Doppel
Nach zwei Stunden verabschiedet sich die neue Königin mit legendärem Doppel „We Will Rock You“ und „We Are The Champions“.

Yes, he really can
By Maximilian Steiner
The British rock legend rehearsed with the young front man in the weeks since sold out Frankfurt Festhalle career reboot.
"Well, how do you like it?" Asks "Queen" guitarist Brian May innocently in the round and reap passionately approved from 8000 bellowed hot throats. A good hour ago was it that the British rock legend "Queen" started with "One Vision" in the sold Frankfurt Festhalle brilliantly powerful. A guest performance with high expectations. Because in tow is the New Adam Lambert, 33 year old American and runner-up of the US talent show "American Idol" in 2009 so far quite lucrative solo career.
Charismatic
Lambert as the successor of Freddie Mercury - no easy task. Several important factors brings the former musical performers with to replace the died in 1991 from AIDS frontman: perfect multi-octave voice up to the highest pitch, exalted stage charisma and a penchant for extremely exotic wardrobe. Spectacular costume changes included. From the rivets leather fringe costume to Karohosen in knee-high boots of openly gay live vocalist performs a balancing act textile and remembers the taste shrill masquerade at the early phase of "Queen" in the seventies.
But above all, makes Adam Lambert persuasion with incredible Stimmtimbre: Whether in rapid Outgoing rocker "Stone Cold Crazy", tanzwütiger disco mania of "Another One Bites The Dust" manic reef Stomper "Fat Bottomed Girls" or the Gospel Swing of "Somebody To Love" - Lambert mastered each of its parts in sovereign perfection. After several celebrity guest singers at Mercury Tribute in 1992 and a liaison with British rock veteran Paul Rodgers, the two still remaining founding members of "Queen" guitarist Brian May (67) and drummer Roger Taylor (65), adequate in Adam Lambert vocal -spare found without damaging the memory of Mercury. How long the Alliance holds and whether it contributes artistic fruit in the form of joint albums, needs to be consistent yet to be proven. The more times with laser-backed and other bells and whistles stage ambience of smart Lambert proves in any case as a real show: When the finger flicking Ode "Killer Queen", he lolls on erotic plush sofa and tampered with fan. "I Want To Break Free", "I Want It All" and "Radio Ga Ga" he smashes a matter of course with effortless ease as the rockabilly tribute "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and the energetic hard rock drama "Tie Your Mother Down ". With so much geballtem use the two rock-retirees may be reluctant to stand back: Brian May blessed with acoustic set ("Love Of My Life", "'39") and minutes long guitar solo. Roger Taylor tries to "A Kind Of Magic", delivers itself beyond with son Rufus Tiger Taylor a duel on drums.
Cult double
Then it is already time for the royal anthem! "Bohemian Rhapsody" asks Adam Lambert not too much from as early as 2009, he drilled a cappella vocal acrobatics at the incredible "American Idol" -Recall. He still meets his role as figurehead with some humility when he lets announced between two songs: "Thank you give me the chance"
After two hours, the new queen was adopted by legendary double "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions". Adam Lambert appears as well in leopard fur suit and with a crown on his head. As before, the protocol for crowned heads designed aligned strictly classical.
