OT. Wow! I was watching some old Queen vids and this is Freddie at his wild best in Fat Bottom Girls toward the end of the video around 3:06 till the vid ends! Boy...I can just imagine the magic Adam and Freddie (in his prime) could have made on stage together!
June 5, 1982. Queen took the stage at England's Milton Keynes Bowl, as part of the Hot Space Tour. Magic ensues.

Just wondering if a tour the magnitude of the QAL tour would carry some sort of an insurance policy to cover expenses and losses they surely incurred from canceling the Belgium concert? While I've been continuing to wait for tech support to show up, I found some really good articles. My favorite is below: ***** www.grammy.com/news/the-business-of-concert-cancellations The Business Of Concert CancellationsExamining the trickle-down effect of concert cancellations, including insurance precautions and the impact on artists, promoters and crew membersWhen Lady Gaga was forced to cancel the remaining 22 dates of her Born This Way Ball tour in February due to a labral tear in her right hip, her fans weren't the only ones inconvenienced by the decision. The trickle-down effect also directly impacted promoter Live Nation; Gaga's immediate management team; and her band members, dancing troupe, personal traveling entourage (wardrobe, makeup artits, chefs, trainers), and crew members, representing an estimated total of 130 personnel. And that's not including the venue-by-venue cottage industry created by such a gigantic tour: food and merchandise vendors, security, ushers, box office and venue staff, and paramedics, among other professionals that ensure a concert runs smoothly. Of course, at the top of the totem pole was Stefani Germanotta herself, whose sold-out tour was on track to gross more than $200 million, according to Billboard. A similar major cancellation arose during U2's 360 tour in 2010 when Bono had to undergo back surgery, which led to the postponement of 16 stadium concerts. But high-profile artists such as Lady Gaga, U2 and others who have instigated postponements and cancellations due to an illness or injury — recent cancellations by Rihanna and Green Day come to mind — usually take out a form of specialty risk insurance to help soften the blow. continued here: CLICK TO CONTINUE

Thanks -- I did not put two and two together. I just love it when then pan over to Bri and Roger looking like the Men in Black! **** I am so pleased with the Italian reviews for Adam. Here is another great one: www.panorama.it/musica/queen-trionfo-milano-recensione/ Queen, triumph in Milan - The Review Adam Lambert has passed the test with flying colors live. May and Taylor are always a guarantee Two unknowns held in suspense fans of Queen last night filled the Forum of Assago, already sold out for months. What effect will the immortal classics of the English band performed by newcomer Adam Lambert, called all'improbo task of replacing a legend like Freddie Mercury? After a strong bronchitis forced him to cancel the date two days ago in Brussels, in which conditions will be the voice of the singer? In late evening the doubts have given way to thunderous applause, thanks to the great performance of voice Lambert, who has convinced even the most skeptical. The concert kicked off to the tune of One Vision, the same song that opened the unforgettable tour of A Kind Of Magic, 1986, the last with Freddie Mercury. Set design is essential, with a large Q containing a crown that stands behind the stage, and the play of light and smoke are always a highlight of the live the Queen. Stone cold crazy and Killer Queen, the flagships of the period more rock of the English band, are enhanced by live dimension, offering the right to Brian May to roar its iconic Red Special. "I can not believe to be on stage with the living legends of rock, were it not for Freddie would not be here," said the singer who in 2009, thanks to a cover of the Queen, always his tutelary deities, he was put in light in the talent show American Idol. E 'then the turn of I Want To Break Free, adopted as the anthem of the LGBT community, followed by Seven Seas Of Rhye, Who Wants To Live Forever, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Under Pressure, Tie Your Mother Down until masterpiece Bohemian Rhapsody an exceptional blend of rock and opera, made even more exciting by the mix between live and video images. The encore, alone, is worth the price of admission, with stadium anthems We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions sung loudly from across the Assago Forum, which closed in the best way an evening of great music. Brian May has confirmed a master of the six strings, with his solos full of feeling, while Roger Taylor, as well as beating the skins like the old days, has temporarily left the battery to his son Rufus to sing These Are The Days Of Our Lives and It's A Kind Of Magic, getting applause convinced. It will not be easy for any young band, wrest the crown from the head of the Queen. Judging from the concert last night, the monarchy of the rock is still firmly in his hands.

And another one. This also talks about different types of event insurance including the fairly new terrorism insurance. **** www.mynewmarkets.com/articles/104957/event-cancellation-insurance-coverage-when-the-show-can-t-go-on Event Cancellation Insurance – Coverage When the Show Can’t Go OnNovember 4, 2009 by Charles E. Boyle Michael Jackson’s untimely death has produced a flurry of articles in the mainstream media. Aside from tributes to the deceased, many of them have focused on what outlays and expenses, if any, for his projected 50 concerts at London’s O2 Arena, can be recouped by the promoter, AEG Live, from insurance coverage. While high profile rock stars make the headlines, event cancellation coverage isn’t limited to events like Jackson’s concert. “There’s a whole range of event types, from rock concerts, the Football (Soccer) World Cup, to the Olympics, on down to many smaller events,” said Mark Symonds, contingency underwriter for Beazley in London in a telephone interview. Any scheduled event runs the risk that something will occur that prevents it from going ahead; therefore, anyone organizing an event has to consider the fallout if it doesn’t come off. “Coverage is becoming increasingly high profile,” Symonds said, “as it’s taken on increasing importance for risk managers, who want to protect their revenue streams. It’s a growing field, that’s well established in the U.S., the UK and certain parts of Europe.” <HSM snip> Cover the Cost, or the Potential Profits?
Whatever the event may be, there are essentially two types of coverage: 1) the costs and expenses of putting on the event, and 2) the anticipated profits the event is expected to generate. The first covers the organizer’s out of pocket expenses, such as rentals, promotion costs, fees charged by service providers, etc. The second covers the profits the organizers anticipate they will obtain from the event. <HSM snip>Also sections on: "How are Premiums Determined?", "How are Losses Calculated?" and "How Does it All Work"?
