This is the most in depth interview I've seen about Sauli, and a lot of things he says relate back to Adam. Gelly @14gelly TY! RT @miachihu: Sauli in Magazine "Asennetta" ("Attitude") published in February 2015. Translation at Sauli Corner bit.ly/1KO7mNp3 small excerpts: What’s your favorite word? “Oofta! That’s a really inside thing. You can use it if something wonderful, horrible or good happens. The word’s tattooed on my hand.” When you step outside your door and you are recognized, it’s very difficult to be yourself. You have to remember that people are following you and reporting what you are doing. You have to think carefully with whom you will talk and if social situations which are totally normal to you will lead to wrong conclusions.” In December 2011 there were newspaper headlines about a quarrel that had started at a nightclub in Helsinki. You and your then boyfriend ended in a lock-up after a night at the restaurant. Sauli’s head goes down and he takes a breath for a while. “It was just awful. They even exaggerated the thing totally and were spreading the news around. My friend even called me all the way from Thailand and said that you got into a lock-up, then! I felt that we were immediately labeled after that. Of course, you cannot make any mistakes when you’re not spending the night out as a private person. We learned from that, however, and the bottles stayed tightly capped for several months. Luckily now we can already laugh a bit at it.”

This gives me a chuckle. It reminds me of the final winning kick in "The Karate Kid" movie. Loved Pat Morita, the kid not so much.

Good points. I think as the post 1980s age their vote participation will also grow so will be interesting to see how that impacts over time. Will not be a quick thing but within another generation or so I personally believe the tide will have completely shifted as generational shifts over time combined with political and legal shifts also moved other major social issues. In meantime the damn boomers need to get with the program! Hey, I'm one of the damn boomers, and I've been on the pro-LGBT band wagon for years!! Not all of us are behind the times, though I live in one of those areas that is. Things have gotten better even here in southeast Texas, but we have a LONG way to go still. My best friend was gay, and I lost him to AIDS almost 9 years ago. I have another gay friend from high school, and finally convinced her to bring her partner to one of our class reunions a few years ago. She was so worried, but nobody blinked an eye and nothing was said, at least to her face. She was pleasantly surprised, and they actually danced together publicly for the first time. I just wish my friend Craig had lived long enough to see the strides that have been made, he would have loved it, and he would have loved Adam too!! What I should have said is that as shown in chart the other 62% of boomers need to get with the program :-) So sorry about your friend who is no longer here and yay for your friend and the reunion, what a lovely story. Amidst the stats that we all use are lives and loves that deserve all the chances other have to live openly and happily.

Wow, you have to wonder if there is any money left over for Queen and Adam to pay themselves, based on this report. Promoter and venue take their cut, too. I understand there is merchandise also. But it is interesting how high the costs are.
