a nice post from the OIQFC fb - someone (nic42?) wanted to see Adam in the crest temporarily - so here he is  : David Lopez 10 hrs Thought I'd share my theory on Adam Lambert. Freddie made the QUEEN crest out of the star signs from the band. That covers the lions, crab and the fairies. Often times, I myself overlook the pheonix behind it all because it blends so smoothly in the image. Those of you familiar with the story of the pheonix know that this bird flies to incredible heights and when it's time comes, it burns up in beautiful flames only to be reborn from its own ashes. I saw this photo of Adam and I thought to myself how he himself represents that pheonix in the QUEEN crest Freddie made. He's bringing this music back to the stadiums it deserves to be in. He's giving our boys a new tour and a new youth. I'm a firm believer in the "everything happens for a reason" motto. Obviously Freddie didn't draw it out thinking it would stand for Adam because Adam wasn't around back then- but I can't help but think it's very fitting and perhaps it's exactly what the pheonix is- a new life (even if it may be a short one-as freddie's had been) for the band. Just the late night ramblings of an old man, but it made me smile.  |
