This need to show that everything Adam does in concert, Freddie did first is really getting to me today; improv, infinity, etc. *sigh* Come on TOH era. Aww...it's OK. I think people are just showing the amazing 'connection' that Adam and Freddie just seem to continue to have .....the inter-connecting worlds of the two of them. The Universe has spoken!  |

Blame Adam.  He IG/Tweeted a photo of the plane and it is distinctive. There have been quite a few pictures of it during the European leg. |

I mentioned it while it was happening that there was a bit in there that really reminded me of the impromptu Freddie and the band used to do....Some nice falsetto fooling around there I didn't bring the vid over at the time since it was mid concert and knew no one was going to be watching then  |

Can anyone help here please?  I really wanted to save the little Instagram clip Adamrocks posted in the concert thread - adamtopia.com/post/588844/thread - that had Adam's final WATC riff plus the charming addition of a male, incredulous/appreciative chuckle. a nice post from the OIQFC fb - someone (nic42?) wanted to see Adam in the crest temporarily - so here he is  : David Lopez 10 hrs Thought I'd share my theory on Adam Lambert. Freddie made the QUEEN crest out of the star signs from the band. That covers the lions, crab and the fairies. Often times, I myself overlook the pheonix behind it all because it blends so smoothly in the image. Those of you familiar with the story of the pheonix know that this bird flies to incredible heights and when it's time comes, it burns up in beautiful flames only to be reborn from its own ashes. I saw this photo of Adam and I thought to myself how he himself represents that pheonix in the QUEEN crest Freddie made. He's bringing this music back to the stadiums it deserves to be in. He's giving our boys a new tour and a new youth. I'm a firm believer in the "everything happens for a reason" motto. Obviously Freddie didn't draw it out thinking it would stand for Adam because Adam wasn't around back then- but I can't help but think it's very fitting and perhaps it's exactly what the pheonix is- a new life (even if it may be a short one-as freddie's had been) for the band. Just the late night ramblings of an old man, but it made me smile.  Very fitting. He brought his own wings. I can see this being put forth when Adam's history is written. One of the things I find interesting when going to the Queen fan pages is that true to form for the last 6 years, Adam is the underdog. What does that mean? It builds a fierce loyalty which has built a fierce fandom and because of this he is imprinting fans on him whereas with another singer that didn't face the backlash would probably only get lukewarm support. When people of conscience see his Adamazingness and feel his Adamselflessness they don't understand why others can attack him. When they respond to the attacks they put themselves in his place. They become him. And as we've seen, once a fan, always a fan. Maybe in different degrees depending upon what he's doing or where they are in their lives but very seldom does a fan change their mind about him. Will enough Queen fans imprint thusly to make a difference when TOH comes out etc? Who knows but it has to help. |
