Ok, as someone who has been forced to sit on more than one safety review board, can I just say for both Madonna and Pink.... WHERE THE HECK ARE THE SPOTTERS?? In the Madonna number, both Madonna and the dancers pulling the cape are blind, facing different directions. Based on the video, there's no way for the dancers to see if the cape is unbuttoned. And there is no way for Madonna to signal the dancers who are located both below and behind her. There should have been a person facing Madonna (be it dancer or someone up on a catwalk) who was responsible for signaling to the people on the lower level (be it hand signal or light signal) "GO for pull". Same thing happened for Pink. Look at Pink standing with her arms crossed as the harness is being balky. That's a "NO GO" signal. The people operating the cables didn't respond to it and pulled anyways. Either they couldn't see it (in which case that's a safety fail because you MUST be able to see such signals) or they weren't looking (which is also a safety fail, so grievous that I hope someone was instantly fired). Again, I can only comment on what's shown on the vids. But, based on a double blind situation, that Madonna fall was an accident waiting to happen. You cannot simply yank blindly based on a downbeat. They do tend to treat them like trapeze artists without a net. The choreographers that set things up don't seem to have safety training. Didn't you comment on how many things could have gone wrong with Adam's AMAs besides the ninja roll? |

But if anyone wants to chime in, please do. Too many injuries and sometimes deaths (ex. pyrotechnics in a low-ceilinged room) happen when somebody doesn't do a safety check. Madonna could have had her neck broken versus bruising her ass. Pink got slammed into a metal barrier. A little harder could have broken bones or killed her. People, a lot of people, DID die in Rhode Island when the venue caught fire and people were trapped. It really gets me when there aren't safeguards. #scarybutfascinatingtopic |

Love ya Adam but there is nothing lower on my list of things I'd like to see Adam do than work with either of these nasally whiny white boys. Where was that article about how they are killing Brit Pop from a few weeks ago when you need it LOL.   Count me in on the NO WAY list too!!! |

He names some 'great' singers but does not really say he wants to collaborate with either of them. whew! Yeah I noticed that too, and am soooo relieved!!! He is such a diplomat! |
