Just got off the phone with my (long time)ex-husband and he said, "Oh, Rick and Bubba (Birmingham dj's) were talking about that guy you like." He never remembers Adam's name. Anyway, he said they were talking about someone else and comparing the guy's voice to Adam's. He said it was all good. Just the fact that Rick and Bubba are that familiar and assume their audience is, with Adam is pretty cool. If any of you Alabama girls heard it, I'd be curious to know exactly what transpired from someone who cares and would have perked up when they heard Adam's name. Sorry Savvy, I didn't hear it. Rick & Bubba have a really big following in these parts. I don't listen to them, although they are very funny, along the lines of Jeff Foxworthy. I'm glad they were complimentary.

I wonder why that is? So fun reading all of the flailing last night! My kids were with me and told me they would follow Adam if I wanted them to in order to help him, but I told them Adam would make it naturally, haha. I showed them the vid with Nikka Costa and they all loved it and thought it was really funny. It is very endearing how they never bat an eye at my Adam references anymore and bring him up themselves in our conversation. It is amazing here in Boston...off to the Acquarium soon. I sometimes forget how much I love the east coast. Ive been thinking all morning of how great it is to have supportive families and feeling glad for Adam that he has his family and his creative LA family to work with and to keep him grounded. My youngest son just finished making a movie, and now my oldest is scoring the movie. It is such a good collaboration, and I feel Adam has those kinds of collaborations in his life. For those of you still raising strong willed and independent teens, hang in there. Your patience and love and acceptance and nurturing guidance will see them through the rough spots, and they will grow up to be such interesting and fun adults who love you and love each other. My heart is so full as I sit here surrounded by family, waiting for them all to get ready for the day, listening to Adam sing, "You get back what you give away." Lynne--this post makes me happy. So nice. Zinnia--I'll join in the thank-yous for the reckless love rec--they're fun--I'm a sucker for that happy 80's rock sound with solid lyrics! And I'm way too crap to do anything like it myself, but it seems to me that one of the songs you posted--Badass--is lyrically just screaming to be laid over an Adam fanvid: I assume I'm not the only one who has VERY SPECIFIC moments come to mind when I read about licking and blowing smoke in a face and lighting up the night and playing with fire and, um, thighs,yes/no? If I wasn't so hopelessly crap I'd be tempted to do one myself. Anyone? I know there some of you here who got skeels! Oh, and I've got no friggin clue, but Q3, my guess for 2 million is Feb 17th, at 11pm pacific time.

Bama, I don't listen to them either (I have in the past when I had a longer commute to work). Yes, Rick and Bubba are hilarious but if I remember correctly, they are HUGE conversatives and I can't imagine they would say anything remotely good about Adam. So if they do like Adam, that is GREAT news. Seems like they've been on some of the Fox talk stuff in the past, maybe Hannity or O'Reilly, just can't remember. They've been off my radar for years.

I would tell him that all the NYD parades were for him! (he believed it up to a certain age!) Q3 ~ my guess for 2M is on (my birthday) 12/14, of 2011 @ 3pm - Pacific Time!

Lynne, I loved your story! #Rakastan! So much similarity between your kids and mine. Quite a few years ago my older son created a performance piece for the SF Fringe Festival, and my younger son wrote the music and created sound effects. It is such fun watching one's kids collaborate and have fun together! Glad your kids have that kind of relationship, and, yes, glad Adam has that in his life, too.
peace&love
