Aloha ~ my nephew shares your B-Day (he's 12). I would tell him that all the NYD parades were for him! (he believed it up to a certain age!) Q3 ~ my guess for 2M is on (my birthday) 12/14, of 2011 @ 3pm - Pacific Time! Aww, Kapsiz, you're a Sag too. I shoulda knowed. Your bday is same as Maria22's (uh oh, where did most of the extra smileys go?) Jojo, Twitter is a blast. Most people feel the same way you do going in and then it becomes a way of life. I've often said that it's a 24-hour-a-day party with my funniest, most brilliant friends from all over the world. You can jump in at any time and always have someone to talk to. If you just need to scream to the world because life is making you nuts, you can and there will be someone there to make you laugh and commiserate. Don't discount it before you've given it a try; I've formed wonderful relationships through Twitter (just like I have through MJ's, PF and Atop). Twitter can be extremely efficient though; I rarely get a chance to come here during my work day and am often several pages behind when I do, but I have an open Twitter window and can catch up on stuff in a couple of minutes if I have two extra minutes here and there. You learn a lot. You can flail in the moment and you obtain news in an instant. (Which you can also do here, but because updates are brought over from Twitter.) IMO, Atop/Twitter tandem are a stan's best friend. I would echo what Susie has to say, jojo. Real life keeps me away from Atop quite frequently, but twitter is easy to manage. Hard to read Atop on the phone if I'm running around. easy to check twitter.. easy to replay or post. Both give me so much Adam stanning pleasure. And friendship.

I'm one of those who recently joined Twitter so that Adam could get one more follower and now I'm kind of wondering what I should do with it. ??? It's silly really, but I never felt like I would need Twitter for anything. But then it feels stupid to not do anything with it now that I'm there. : Then a jump into a totally different topic. I've noticed that Adam seems to appeal to many kind of people with hugely different tastes in music. So now I got this great idea; I definitely have to take my cd with me when I go to Easter dinner to my mom's and test the reactions there. My mom usually listens to jazz and blues so it will be interesting to see what her reaction will be. ;D Oooo. Good idea. You should also take the GNL CD and the acoustic CD. That's a pretty good range of styles right there. Or take along some AI performances. She might like some of those. Have fun.

Q3 this explains why @moonbeamjo11 did an AMAZING job designing a car "The Glam Machine." The Glam Machine is a design inspired by Adam Lambert & the Glamberts for a contest sponsored by Toyota Racing (Nascar). We placed 38 out of approx. 40,000 entries. Did not make the top 10 finalists but can be voted on for MOST LIKED design. www.adamofficial.com/us/node/1986776

It's silly really, but I never felt like I would need Twitter for anything. But then it feels stupid to not do anything with it now that I'm there. : People use Twitter in different ways--some use it like a chat room, tweeting back and forth to one another, while some just have it as a way to follow certain people. I am in the latter group. I follow Adam, Eber, Neil, Tommy, Monte, Cheeks, Taylor Hicks, and Michael Sarver. I'm really not that interested in Michael Sarver except that he has been so supportive of Adam and I can't bring myself to unfollow him! For awhile I would dutifully sign up to follow anyone who was following me, but I realized that I prefer to follow conversations between my fellow Adam fans on boards like this, and not on Twitter. I don't tweet very often; usually I just retweet stuff that I find interesting from the people I follow, or I tweet to help something trend, like #Adamto1million last night. I find that my limited use of Twitter fits my needs just fine.

You learn a lot. You can flail in the moment and you obtain news in an instant. (Which you can also do here, but because updates are brought over from Twitter.) IMO, Atop/Twitter tandem are a stan's best friend. [grins] And for the somewhat anti-Twitter Devil's Advocate counterargument: I personally have a very tenuous, and sometimes uncomfortable, relationship with Twitter. It is both too searchable, and not searchable enough. Anything you say is open to the world. Whether you're comfortable with that is a consideration. For work reasons, my stanning life and friends are completely separate from anything that can be traced professionally. Not interested in the slightest in breaching that metaphorical brick wall. I don't WANT to be traced, and I don't want any conversations I have with my ATOP buddies to be easily attributed to various RL handles. Realize that anything you say on Twitter is like having a loud conversation in public. Anyone can listen in, whether you know them or not. Now, I like the fact that @hoppersskippers can be read by ATOP peeps whether they specifically follow me or not, so I haven't protected my account. That said, I won't say anything on Twitter that I care that someone who doesn't know me - or worse, someone who does - can trace back 6 months after I've said it. Its very difficult to reliably erase your footsteps on Twitter (stuff gets captured, etc). That issue doesn't bother most people. However, it definitely bothers me. Plus, dammit, I find it hard to think in 140 characters. ;D In summary, Twitter can be a wonderful tool. However, each individual must decide on their own how they want to utilize it. Before you get started, KNOW the security issues with Twitter, and decide on your personal comfort level with it based on your comfort level with mass communication. [steps off soapbox]
