OT: I listened to the new song "I'll be there" and I love it! Disco is back But the video shocked me - I think I never saw anything as bad as that ... and from the comments on facebook I'm not alone with my opinion. The video is cringe worthy. The new song is sooooo Disco - do you think it will do well??I really, really hope so, although I think there's something catchy missing. Maybe if I listen to it for another 10 times, I'll be addicted I just love Chic and Nile and it's funny and cool to watch the old film clips from the 70s in the video, so I could have done without a Supermodel rolling around on the ground without any reason

I'll be going into stores to buy the album and I'll download one to my phone and one to my laptop. I guess our music store campaign starts once again where we make sure Adam's CD is front and center. Actually I only did this when the "other one" was released around the same time. I moved that one to C&W.

I have to chime in on a few things. My opinions are probably an anomaly so don't get mad at me. I watched Idol last night. So many of the songs were terribly off key and the judges don't pick up on it, even Harry. When Adam sang Mad World it made my heart ache, it was so haunting and beautiful; everyone watching really felt that. Joey's ok performance wasn't anywhere near in the same class as Adams. I'm pretty disappointed in Lindsay Parker for not seeing and hearing the difference; she really doesn't seem to be quite the Glambert that she use to.
I am quite disappointed in IDOL and Nile Rogers (if he had any say in the promo). Adam is one of Idol's most successful Alums, he is also one of their biggest supporters. They should definitely have included Adam in the intro that showed all the artists Nile had performed and produced for. He worked with him on Shady and Lay Me Down. Idol should have recognized that achievement with "one of their own" even if it wasn't a success in the same league and Daft Punk and Sam Smith....I think it shows total disrespect to Adam.

I must be one of the very few who have never liked Mad World as a song and although I can appreciate what Adam did with it, it is far from my favorite Idol performance (that hat belongs to Ring of Fire)... it is also the only minor disappointment that I've had from Adam performing that we got Mad World as encore at my GNT show not 20CB, but I digress. Joey fits into what I call the ingenue brigade. We have a boatload of them here in oz. Quirky girls with quirky voices (who can sing but have some affect to the way they do it). So in general I am kind of over it. That said US might be ready for a mainstream quirky girl so who knows - I think in a quirk off though Jax probably has her purely on image. I'm tired of it too -- when I heard Jax (?) that is what I immediately thought -- "Oh, the girl with the quirky voice and personality". I'm not invested so I wish all of them the best.

I think we have to stop getting angry and frustrated when others say anything nice about anything Adam has done earlier...it is ludicrous to think we should table anything he sang on idol....or fcs, sitting on a stool!!?? Perry Como famously sat on a stool so using this framework, Adam had no right to sing on a stool. We hate it when A is/was constantly held to the Freddie standard [and often found lacking] yet we blithely do that to others. If you just say 'in my opinion' or 'I have a hard time enjoying' that is fair....but another version is just schtick....that is patently unfair, IN MY OPINION. And it is disingenuous to claim his version was perfect when the last note was horribly off....I love his version and it is epic...but perfect...not. Joey's version was not for everyone, I am sure...just as Adam's Queen is not for everyone [hard as that seems to understand]....but she was really good and I do not for a minute think it was schtick. There are 3 or 4 especially talented kids on the show this year and Joey is one of them, that are really unique and creative. I think that is what has been missing for a long time on the show and it is really good to see. ymmv ITA, she is one of the the most creative singers on the show this year, and I love seeing what she will do next! Thanks for saying what I was thinking LOL! Actually, Adam sat on a chair, not a stool.

I think they actually were highlighting people Nile produced for. He hasn't produced anything for Adam yet. But they certainly could have showed Adam & most people would not know the difference of Producing or a feature. Technically, LMD was an Avicii song with a ft from Nile and Adam & co-write. So, if they were strictly doing produced songs, then Adam didn't really belong on that list. I know Nile and Idol are Adam fans, so I'm not mad at either one of them

I have no problem with her getting inspiration from Adam's version. She didn't copy him. Adam's Ring of Fire was strongly influenced by the version done by that quirky female singer on another TV competition show. His "Feeling Good" was modeled after Muses's version. A singer can reference or get ideas from the performances of others and incorporate them into their version. It happens all the time. The fact that Adam's interpretations often move me and impress me more than the versions of other artists is a measure of Adam's artistry. But I don't think the songs should be retired after Adam sings them. Audiences are notoriously amnesiac, and rarely recognize the similarities between songs or singers. (Obviously, seeing all the mash-ups and plagiarism claims where every version was a hit).

The video here works for me, same interview, from different angle. EM.ES @emes79 · 16m 16 minutes ago Rihanna | MTV News Online Bulletin Featuring Rihanna And Adam Lambert video | MTV UK in.flux.com/1BbO5OP via @mtv UK Thanks, I can see that one. So Adam is asked who would win between the Directioneers and the Glamberts and he said he didn't know but it sounded like there could be casualties and that the Glamberts would give them a run for their money. It was cute and yah, does sound like it's pulled from hopefully a nice long interview. I haven't looked to see if anyone is tweeting the show with their corresponding hashtag.
