It's already an earworm! Not going to worry about Madonna. And I assume the phased worldwide availability roll-out is a way to keep the buzz going between this first single and the second, so not worrying about that either. I think they have a plan in place.
I bet Adam is really excited and really nervous though!

Is it normal to start the promo so early? It seems to me that by the time the single will be out, Australians will have already forgotten he was ever interviewed for the morning show, for example. What is the standard time to start promo for a first single? I wish I knew why they chose such a late date, since the music has been finished and ready for quite some time now. They must have a reason!

Yes is absolutely normal -we have just 29 days left until single release and I'm sure in meantime there'll be some interviews, rpomos etc, trust on his team I found the quote below on wikipedia - according to that, Taylor Swift's Shake It Off promo started two weeks before it was released: "Swift began teasing about an announcement in August 2014. On August 4, she posted a video on Instagram in which she pushes the number 18 in an elevator.[5] On August 6, she tweeted an image of the time 5:00 and the next day a screenshot from a Yahoo! homepage.[6] She later confirmed on August 13, 2014 on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that a Yahoo! live stream session would take place on August 18, 2014 at 5pm. During the live stream, Swift announced her upcoming fifth album and premiered its lead single.[7]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shake_It_Off_%28Taylor_Swift_song%29

People in the know.......can we expect more teases, snippets, lyric leaks, maybe an actual music leak, partial or whole or even an online release prior to the April 21st "drop" date? I know times and promo are different this time around....just wondered what would be considered "normal" releases prior to the official drop date. 4 weeks is soooooooo long to wait. LOL
ETA
Thanks Katycake on how T Swift did hers.
