Ugh. Adam looked really uncomfortable in that video. Those women have no sense of personal space or propriety. This is not a criticism of you, gelly. The vid is on YouTube, after all. And it's an eye opener--a good example of how NOT to be a fan. That woman bragged on twitter about how they stole the VIP bracelets. The reason for those bracelets is to ensure the celebrities have a measure of privacy. These women are just embarrassing to fans everywhere. Once again, proud to be on ATOP where we may be #hackingasshoes, but with a sense of propriety. Hate the "anything goes if it works" mentality that some people seem to think is acceptable.

I have never watched Idol, but I agree with all of you that say it's a great way to get noticed and get a start for a career. After getting enough notice then it's just if you're good enough and play you're cards right year after year like any other artist out there you'll make it. Some make it and become big and some will be forgotten after few years.
Also I'd like to point out that even though I don't watch Idol I've heard of Simon Cowell, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, but I have never ever heard of KD Lang.

I was on my ipad and couldn't embed. But this is too good... *snerk* This calls for making a new banner! mid-day!! (Changing now!) Regarding the video -- which I posted with a warning on page 1 -- I think it only reflects badly on one fan -- the won who thinks that imitating the behavior of paparazzi is the way to live life. Seriously, something off there. But I think it is better posted with a prominent caution. On more important matters -- facial hair -- I just hope he having fun with it before he saves --- and doesn't go to a mustache only or one of the chin-only things. He can certain do what he want but I hope he goes back to skin soon. Isaac looks like he belongs, Adam and Monte are acceptable, but what the heck is with Tommy? He needs to get to the royal hairdresser as soon as possible. It looks like they plucked him out of Charles Dickens and plopped a 1950's housewife wig on him... and I LOVE Tommy, well not LOVE, but love him. He should ask for a re-shoot. And in case you think I'm totally out of it, YES, I do know it is photo shopped and not a photo shoot.

. You are NOT the only one. I went to Borgata with my son & DIL and all the way home (3 hrs) I had to listen to Dylan. I was crazy by the time I got home. And:
It irks me no end when people say those coming from Idol haven't "paid their dues". Probabaly true of some of them, yes, but whaddya wanna bet that Adam (and others) have struggled longer than Bieber or Kesha.
And I LOVE KD Lang more than I love AI. lol

I think she was reacting more to Simon Cowell and the idea of the manufactured artists people say are being created now.

See but does Adam have a choice to eliminate the Idol mentions when he does promo in the UK? I can see how he himself may not bring it up, but it still wouldn;t stop the tv hosts/interviewers and whatnot from intorducing him as "Idol runner up..." or asking him about the show. Unless of course his management tells them not to mention it but then it would make him look like an ungrateful ass and yeah. It's a tightrope walk for sure--to move away from the show and yet still remain humble and thankful for what the show gave you. If he can break out with one amazing song, just oooone that catches on in the UK he will have a much easier time. Oh and am I the only one who thinks Bob Dylan is overrated? LOL. I guess not my kinda music...different generations...whatever. No we will never find another one of those bc music has changed in so many ways, some good some bad. I think it's time the musicians who came to fame the old way start to realize that times change and that truly talented ppl coming to fame on these shows isn't good or bad, it's just different. Face it, JHUd prolly never woulda been given a music contract no matter what KD Lang says. Adam either(dunno bout JHud but Adam tried for yrs to make it and got nowehere). They weren't the beautiful pre manufactured pop stars that are all over the airwaves. They were different. Jhud was chubby, Adam gay, heck even Kelly Clarkson tried and sent demos and got nowehere. She woulda prolly been called too chubby/not cute enough and that's that. They may have gotten signed, who knows, but they would have probably achieved minimal success probably in smaller niche markets. These celebs can knock Idol all they want, and yes there is alot to mock, but it has churned out some truly amazing talents and let's face it, I'm pretty sure these stars turning their noses up at it now that they are famous and rich would have had a different attitude about going on the show back when they were struggling and hungry to make it. *rant over* In reference to what k.d. said, times have changed a lot since she got into the business, and, a big and, she was country, which is a whole different scene. Just as Adam says, no one is really discovered anymore. There is too much time and money, not to mention competition, to groom an artist, especially since the public is more gimmick oriented than talent oriented, as we all know. You aren't going to change people's minds, and it is always easier speaking from the top of the mountain than it is being on the slopes fighting your way up.

LambertUK Adam Lambert UK Moscow OKs First Gay Pride March - On Top Magazine - bit.ly/g8obSb -- Hmm, this co-incides with Adam's concert date, doesn't it? 44 seconds ago "This year's authorized May 28 march will take place between 1PM and 3PM at Bolotnaya Ploshchad." As much as I wish the organisers luck with this parade - but I hope Adam stays away as far as he can from this event. During the last (unsanctioned) events, visitors have been attacked and injured - and the police did nothing to protect them. I am also very uneasy on the music festival - this is a typical rock concert (Korn and The Prodigy are scheduled) with a main audience of white, straight and (not all, but many) homophobic guys. This is definitely not Adams audience. I really hope he will play a "normal" concert where his Russian fans have the chance to enjoy him.

I guess the tasche/goatee is still a topic of conversation so I want to state my opinion in case there's a poll. I like it. Not for the long haul of course but for now it's fine with me. He looks sexy, cute and handsome no matter his "do". This adds a bit of intrigue and sophistication. I'm easy. Just saw carla's concern about the Moscow concert. I'm pretty certain he will do a "normal" concert - more like the Radio gigs he did here. I doubt he would do anything similar to GNT.
