No slinking away allowed nor necessary ggg. You live in a different world to us and you don't need more languages . English is so universal - you lucky ones are born with it and we just have to learn it word by word. Well, it does make me (maybe even some of us) feel a little lacking... my youngest daughter wonders why our schools don't have them start learning a language in the 1st or 2nd grades when learning is easier. She is trying to learn Japanese( shes in the 10th) . Learning young is key. I'm sorry - I didn't mean to show off or anything such - just stating the fact of a survival game named "being a tiny Finn in the big big world" :D:D. We start languages at school quite early, you are right - starting early makes it a lot easier. I

The photo everyone is commenting on above is my favorite from the airport batch. They both look so happy and that makes me happy! This pairing is my favorite so far and I hope it turns out well for them both. Seems like Sauli was only gone about 2 weeks and so glad they could reconnect for Valentines Day and then go on a relaxing trip! I think Adam will return ready to really work on the album.....who knows...maybe he and Sauli will co-write something while they are gone. I have no idea if he has any musical ability, but he may at least offer 'inspiration' :D

I listened to a youtube of the band-don't remember where I saw the link- she is pretty good. Not my exact kind of music, but she's good. It may not be his twin, though- maybe one of the older sisters?

The school my grandkids (ages 6 & 9) attend in Atlanta teaches French in every grade. I think they have four full time French teachers for the school. The preschool they attended taught French and Spanish - you got to choose which your child would take. My 6-year old grandaughter also has been taking Chinese in private lessons for 2 years. It's amazing what a little sponge brain a 6-year old can have.

I was reading part of the article there and apparently JB has been working with a vocal coach for a while.. has developed a beautiful tone and will one day reach a 4 octave range... wow how can they tell that already.. ??? That is two octaves pre-puberty and they hope two octaves post puberty, makes for 4 octaves throughout his singing career. ;D What is your question??!!!! They would probably have to still count every grunt and whistle to get to 4 octaves....but you probably also read in blogs that Adam has anywhere between a 5 and 8 octave range, right? People just don't have a clue what they are talking about and on top of that - we all know the fish always gets bigger with every time the fishing weekend story gets retold. Bieber seems to heavily rely on the backing tracks right now in his concerts, trying to sing around problem zones and they probably use every trick in their arsenal to help him out. Got him through the Grammy performance too, didn't it? Unfortunately I have a seven year old at home, who totally thinks that she'll marry JB when she grows up :-/ , so of course I am one of the many moms who had to put herself through the torture of Never Say Never. Let's just say, singing was not the focus of the movie and I leave it at that. The main purpose of the vocal coach even in the glorified film representation seemed to be to keep the kid from screaming too much, singing was the typical squeezing out pop sounds that you usually get in pop music and only a narrow range of notes was shown. It just is not the same as a proper vocal training. I don't even think that there is any interest in developing that and as we know, in pop that is not so important. And as far as the rest of the fame game mega spectacle is concerned, I can only say, what I saw in that film made me appreciate wholeheartedly that Adam's career is ascending at a slower pace. This JB story is complete insanity and the brick wall can not be too far off. And I think it will be more an emotional, dealing with life kind of crisis. I don't think that the vocals will be the problem. Too many tools today to work around all that. Actually found the movie sad, besides boring and cringe-worthy. I expected the latter two, of course, but the former was a bit of a surprise. He is totally missing out on many normal chapters of life and even such a film cannot hide that to an outside observer. It's sadz. Otherwise, I just updated my profile, will see how it looks, now. Who was our photo guru offering their help yesterday? Sorry, did not have much time past few days. Was it JustKaren or was it somebody else? Never got this pic to look as pretty as the large printed version looked and I do like that pic and I am not likely to change it too often, so I might get it as pleasingly possible for all of us to look at.

That cover makes me smile. He looks like a 12-yr-old in front of a mirror trying out different "sexy" poses. Doesn't work - he still has that little kid body - he's a cutie tho. I see a host of little 12-yr-old gals pining away for him. 8-) Not sure if the 12-yo girls are pining... at my son's school, the 6th graders all hate him. The "little" kids (ie 8-10 yo in 3rd to 5th) still like him, but the 6th graders refer to them as "Bieber Babies". I think I mentioned on an earlier thread (yesterday maybe?) that we were at the movies on Friday and the group waiting for the Bieber movie and participating in the movie promo stuff they had going on were REALLY young - there may have been a few 11-12 yo girls, but the vast majority were younger.
