Needacoke and bamafan, I'm glad to hear that you and your families are safe after the tornado. Bamafan, I'm so sorry about the property damage. You're in my thoughts.

He sure does have a great head of hair. But poor baby - his lips seem to always be chapped. I noticed on AI that he licks his lips a lot when he is nervous.

Sitting here happily in Atlanta with power. Thanks for all the concern, sweet ATOPers! First, I'll tell you about bamafan. She called this morning as I had just pulled up to a gas pupmp in TN that had power. She said they were fine but part of her roof was ripped off, car was totaled, windows blown out of house, yard ripped apart, power poles all laying on ground. She was talking fast cause her cell was going dead and had no way to charge it. Don't know what other damage was done to her house. She said her husband's business was gone. She said they were in the house but of course it had no power. She was gonna try to call mayumi before the cell was dead. I'm assuming her home phone line is down - I didn't think to ask, but they don't answer it when I call. I've tried to call JustWishin - both cell and home but she didn't answer. Dont' know which number is which but both had voice mail which makes me think she might have power at her house. She is in a burb north of Birmingham. Here's my story. The power went off about 5-5:30 yesterday afternoon. The scary thing is that the sirens don't work without power. My cell wouldn't work at all. Even though the little thingy at the top said I had 3G, it wouldnt work. Not even for a phone call. My land line was working, though. Woke up about 5:00am and turned on my battery radio. They were saying that TVA said our power would be out for 3-5 days (now they're saying 5-9) because of something that was destroyed by a tornado at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant - not a nuclear problem though. I decided to get the hell outta there. Wasnt interested in sitting there with no power for that long. I think Cullman is powered by Browns Ferry too, so bamafan could be without power for a good while Radio said there was no power until south of Birmingham. I was thinking about coming to Atlanta but I had a little less than half a tank of gas (no power - no gas pumps) and decided to go to Nashville instead and find a hotel with power and internet. #priorities I pulled off on several exits on I-65 and the lines at the gas stations were unbelievable - like 1/4 mile along the road before even getting up to the station. Each time, I just got back on the interstate and continued driving north. Finally, I took an exit and found a station where the line wasn't too long. That's when bamafan called me. At this point, DD had called and wanted me to come to Atlanta. She got online and checked I-24 and I-75 and said they were OK. Soooo I cut across from about Franklin, TN, went across to Murfreesboro and got on 1-24 and went into Chattanooga and then south on I-75 to Atlanta. Got into a traffic jam soon after getting onto I-75 - it was at Ringgold, GA, and a tornado had really wreaked havoc there - a mess across the interstate. After that, the next place I saw damage was right before the turnoff to Rome, GA. Another big mess. I'm just gonna sit tight here in Atlanta until I have power. I guess the answering machine will start working again to let me know I have power?

He sure does have a great head of hair. But poor baby - his lips seem to always be chapped. Chapped? I don't see chapped. Our guy is genius at PR. Not just the hair (facial & head) but the critique of S10 Idols. Getting major attention, not all of it good. What else is new. Most peeps seem to think he's right on though.

Oh, geez, coke, what an ordeal! Glad you're ok, tho! The power company may have a website that will show what areas have power, or you could call.
