There are 5 people who co-wrote Ghost Town, if I remember correctly, including this Sterling guy. Did he seriously just ruin Adam's roll-out by revealing the lyrics?

Really? RYL: Which is the latest song you wrote that hasn’t been released yet ? Sterling Fox: I wrote a song called “Ghost Town” that Adam Lambert is releasing as a single in a few weeks. I really love that song, so I’m also going to throw out a rock version at some point around then as well – kind of like an alternate interpretation of it. Both should be out in the next month. WTH?! If true...can this guy do that? Wouldn't Adam have gotten the rights to the song and isn't he credited as one of the writers of it? Just what we need another person putting out a Ghost Town song right when Adam releases his? Why is there somebody always trying to mess with Adam's music roll outs?! I hope Shosh or somebody can clear this up for us.

I wonder if Adam and his management know about his intentions to put out his version around the same time. Seems like it's a conflict to me and muddies the waters for Adam's release even if it's a rock version especially when it's planned to come out at around the same time. B-|

He wouldn't be releasing it to radio............ likely just uploading his 'rock version' to his youtube, Facebook, twitter etc. He could wait until Adam's version makes some sort of impact though............

I cannot whistle either. Nor can I get much of a sound snapping my fingers. Nor can I roll my tounge. There is actually a gene that determines the ability to roll your tounge. BUT, I CAN DANCE!!! I 'm with Dancy. Can't whistle but can (or could!) dance! Speaking of dancing, I just got back late last night (plane was delayed several hours) from visiting my Dad for a few days. My Dad is 85. One by one I've seen him have to give up various activities - hiking, backpacking, bicycling, and other outdoor activities. He is very slow walking and has to be very careful, especially going down stairs, and uses a walking stick when walking further then from his house to car. BUT, HE CAN STILL DANCE!!!! And the ladies LOVE him! And he has several dance partners! We went dancing 2 nights while I was visiting. Friday night we ate & danced at Mama's Blues Room where we danced between the tables. Saturday night we danced at JJ's Dancehall Lounge, a local honky tonk bar, which actually had a nice little dance floor. Both places had local bands (Dad prefers dancing to live music) playing popular oldies and country. The first band even played Fat Bottomed Girls! The bass player said that he saw Queen live in '75, in New Orleans. And he knew Queen was touring with Adam!
My Dad loves Freddie! The only video that he has purchased for his Amazon Kindle Fire HD is the Queen Rock Montreal video!!! I was hoping that he would love Adam, but that has been a long slow process. When Dad, by brother, and I went on vacation to Colorado JuLY 2010, neither of them wanted to listen to my FYE or Idol CD's of Adam. They complained of his "screaming". Then during a visit to Dad's a year or two ago, I was playing WWFM from Acoustic Live over Dad's stereo system as I was working on his computer. Dad came into the room and wanted to know who was singing. I told him it was Adam and he said that maybe he would have to change his mind about Adam. PROGRESS! Then during this visit, I was setting up Amazon Prime Music streaming service on Dad's Kindle. After loading a lot of Dad's favorites to his Amazon Prime Music library, he asked me if there was any Adam music on Amazon Prime Music! Acoustic Live was not one of the free albums, but FYE and Trespassing are, so I selected both of those. And then I played Shady for him which is my favorite from Trespassing. Shady is a great song for dancing the West Coast Swing dance which I knew Dad would hear. He liked it! Can't wait to buy Dad TOH and Acoustic Live for his Kindle!!!
So, this brings up a problem that I am hoping that some of you might have some suggestions for. Dad has ok distant vision, but his near vision is really bad and getting worse. He loves to read, but even the large print books from the library are not large enough now. On his 8.9" Kindle, he has to use the very largest text size for reading books and that is just about right. But selecting the large text size for books does not change the text size for any of the other applications on his Kindle. So he cannot read the artist/album/song names in the music app on the Kindle, etc. He has to guess by the album picture. The problem is even worse on his cell phone. I have looked all over for a good cell phone where EVERYTHING is in large text and cannot find one. It has to work in a small town where cell phone carriers are limited, AT&T is the only one with a local store.
ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR CELL PHONES, TABLETS, ETC, WITH LARGE TEXT THAT CAN BE READ BY SOMEONE WITH REALLY BAD CLOSEUP VISION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Thank you for posting. So how will this work if, according to this interview, Sterling Fox plans on releasing a "rock version?" Does that mean he really wrote it but it just has Adam's name added as co-writer? Eta: what geezlouise just posted I don't see any way that Max Martin as EP would be allowing someone who was part of writing a song release a different version at the same time even if only on alternative channels like Social media (would strike me as an extremely career limiting move...)

Maybe Max doesn't know about this guy's intentions..
