It's interesting to me that that brief Billbaord article puts Adam's snippet releases and promo in the context of "A battle going down in Pop's Ghost Town" between Madonna's video coming out this week and Adam's song being released In a few weeks (they should have called it a "duel" I think). Madonna's mv stars Terrance Howard of "Empire" as her love interest. She'll be on Fallon Thirsday and will perform GT. (I like her song and think it is ramping up not winding down - but, of course, I will love Adam's "GT.") I don't know if this weird coincidence will be a plus or not, neither, or unknowable. What you see is an attempt to save the song. The video is coming out way late though. Should have been out last month! It has only charted somewhat OK on the AC radio format, where most songs go last, to die. It is losing spins on HAC. Yesterday on the HAC radio adds board, it only got 2. It has not made Top 50 on CHR (Top 40) and most likely won't. It's been outside of the top 100 actually. It had 5 spinners, with the top spins being 12 in a week. It has no "starters." Today is CHR adds & it may get some adds due to the Live version from the iHeart awards that got spins. But most of those stations are not spinning it any more. |

If Adam shares a 6 second sound bite each Monday through April 20th then we will have 24 seconds of Ghost Town before the official release. Still not enough. sigh

WOOT!! In a drum battle Roger (and I love Roger to death) would get trounced by Neil. Glamberts "getting the win" for Roger only proves these polls are completely meaningless IMO. |
