Oh for crissakes, it was just a joke. I don't care what Fox's employment status is. Gezus..it's like walking onto a firing range in this place anymore. Q3: just popping in a comment here -- a general comment but this is a good example ( @vivlite forgive me for using your post to illustrate), if you make a joke be sure that it is clear in your post. It only adds two keystrokes to add a With all the fans harassing Sterling Fox, hard to tell that your post was a joke vs. all the very serious comments from others.
I left for awhile today to let off steam. Hermeticallysealed had a very valid post and I was for some reason edgy. You all can see when edgy takes precedence over common sense and courtesy what can happen. I am very glad Q3 used my post as an example of one that went awry. There is much excitement and tension now and I will take responsibility to make my posts more clear. I post this to own my stuff. Not because Q3 used me as an example. I think it's one that maybe we can all learn from. At least I know I have. My post could have been easily misconstrued. It was not conveyed with clarity, joke or no. Hermeticallysealed, please accept my apology. I know what it's like to have someone go off on me and it is hurtful and rude. I hope you will keep posting as I enjoy your posts, despite today's debacle. And to all you Atopers, sorry I tainted your day as well. I've been here so long and it never ceases to amaze me how I still keep learning lessons..sometimes the hard way. I bought a new pair of water wings this afternoon. Hopefully, they will keep me floating in a positive direction. And I think I need to hone my sense of humor doing some major laps in the shallow end.. Sorry, guys and gals. Thanks for understanding!! Sometimes is hard to remember that people can only read what we write and not see our expressions. I often forget that I am not as "funny" as I think I am! (even in real life!) It is so nice to be able to just add a

And because anachronistic is one theme for today: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdR6MN2jKYsJust like many people learned Bohemian Rhapsody from Wayne's World, I would bet many learned Rawhide from The Blues Brothers. LOVE this scene - Love the Blues Brothers And I have to admit - the early Clint was yummy - can't say I feel the same about him today

Must have been a delusion I was under. Thanks for being so gracious with your mod, Q3! It was extremely kind and helpful. Now I have to go practice whistling while I sing 'Rawhiiiide'!! Bring some leather and chaps into the pop world! Oh yeah..#itsAdamsfault

I love Western music --- and anything by Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison. My fav Western artist are the New Riders of the Purple Sage. "New Riders of the Purple Sage is an American country rock band. The group emerged from the psychedelic rock scene in San Francisco, California, in 1969, and its original lineup included several members of the Grateful Dead. Their best known song is "Panama Red." The band is sometimes referred to as the New Riders, or as NRPS." Wikipedia. But I also adore...Riders in the Sky. They are "an American Western music and comedy group which began performing in 1977. Their style also appeals to children, and they are sometimes considered a children's band. They have won two Grammy Awards and have written and performed music for major motion pictures, including "Woody's Roundup" from Toy Story 2 and Pixar's short film, For the Birds. Riders Radio Theater is the Riders in the Sky's radio show. It originated in Nashville, with WPLN-FM as the presenting station, but later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, and can now be heard on WMKV." Wikipedia With this sorta Adam topic started, here is a RITS song sample: "Ojo Caliente" youtu.be/pwP0rSvV-_MAnd their most famous song....."Back in the Saddle Again" (Live) youtu.be/gR4wEZDez7s

You've had me down a different rabbit hole tonight.
From 'Rawhide' to 'Paladin' (Have Gun Will Travel), to 'High Noon' . . . I'm looking for an instrumental version of the theme - it's out there, somewhere, and it's beautiful.
I find it amazing that Dmitri Tiomkin, a Russian, wrote music that captured the American West.
I'm traveling back to the day when I wrote Roy Rogers and asked him for a pony. Yes, Adamrocks! Tex Ritter was a cowboy singer . . . I can't name or remember them all! I'd love to hear Adam sing 'Bury Me Out on the Lone Prairie'; 'Streets of Laredo'; the lonely 'Tumbling Tumbleweeds'; or 'Strawberry Roan' . . . my Uncle Jess raised Strawberry Roans in the Southern Sierra.
I don't think 'Ghost Town' will be Western . . . my two cents is it will convey very contemporary love and loss, angst, emptiness. It may touch on the honesty of the Old West; a 'drive thru' those abandoned towns; Bodie, and the lonely intersection where James Dean met his fate . . .

Well Ghost Town's whistling kind of reminds me of the whistling in the theme song for the movie "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly". And the title for the movie pretty well sums up many emotions we find in life that we all can interpet by our own experiences. I'm stretching here....I'm strectching (lol)...I know!j/s
