And one more thing so I can end on an upbeat note - Gorgeous met Sauli and Raja! He didn’t come to the Drag Race finale but met them at one of the gay bars he was at on boyz nite out (same night). He didn’t remember the name of the place. I got to say hello to Raja at the Drag Race finale and he remembered PastaBaby. Made my night. I didn’t see Adam. I knew he had to be there but suspected he purposely stayed out of sight. After the show my drinking buddy and I went to do what we do best. For those of you that think that I was the woman in the video where Adam was chased in the club, you really don’t know me (and I’m not talking physical appearance here). As far as physical appearance, there is more than one woman with curly hair in this state. And PastaBaby has all her teeth. I rolled into my apartment around 3am quite, ahem, tipsy. I still managed to make the bed for Gorgeous so he could just crash whenever he rolled in. My love runs deep. PastaBaby,What a wonderful story, so glad you had a good time with gorgeous! It is amazing the friendships made because of Adam, with people you would otherwise have never known. I hope you don't feel that you were accused of being the woman from the video on RuPaul Party night, I did not see any evidence of that on this board. Thank you for sharing this story, so heartfelt and fun, and also rewarding for what you have done for this young man, I hope he will pay it forward. Thank you for the reassurance. I haven't been here for a week and prob will not get the chance to catch up. I saw the crap flying on Twitter and didn't know how far it extended. I doubted anything was posted here but wanted to make sure there was no misunderstanding.

Hug to Irish1139 Note to self: Learn lesson from Irish1139 and never ever EVER suggest in the Atopian forum that Adam might want to apologize about something. Stick to effusive praise. Much easier. There is no problem with people being critical of Adam here. He is not perfect and I think everyone here knows that. And in this same thread there are critical comments about Adam's formality in his presentation of the ASCAP Award. The entire point of this forum is to have a discussion. Regarding James: I am not sure what Adam might want to apologize for. Adam was asked about James and responded to a reporter's question. Should he also apologize for his critique of Jacob Lusk? Or is James be more deserving of special treatment than Jacob? I do not recall anyone saying here (or on any Idol blog) that Adam should apologize to Jacob. I think it is fine to say that you disagree with Adam, or even recommend that he should apologize, but I think it is important to be willing to have people disagree with that opinion. If Adam apologized, what would he say? And finally, there is some unfairness going on with the judge's comments on Idol this year (Nigel and the judges are really pushing James and Casey, but really negative about Haley and Scott) and I think that is the reason Adam, so many prominent Idol alums and Idol bloggers are so strongly supporting Haley. NOTE: It is OK to discuss Adam's comment, or why he has decided to so strongly support Haley in the news thread. But if you want to discuss AI10, there is a thread for that in the members section.

Please don't! If this place was full of effusive praise and people blabbering on and on about how Adam can do no wrong, I don't think I could stand it. He's not perfect, and I think that is one of the best things about him. He pulls no punches. In this case, he certainly knows what he is talking about. I agree with the person (a few pages back)(ETA: just checked and it was whatfun) that believes James probably doesn't really care about Adam's opinion. His pre-Idol youtube comments support the theory that he thinks he is better and more authentic than Adam. The kid has balls, but lacks a lot of other things. The kids this year are being pushed to the edge and forced into boxes by the producers. They then set foot on a stage and are tongue bathed by the judges. This season has ended up being as boring as (though in a very different way) last year. In the end, I am one of those Adam fans that doesn't get riled up about anything. Let him be Adam. He is never boring. He has a once in a generation voice and is as savvy as anyone two years into their career could hope to be. I will never worry about him. It's not in my nature.

When he does something that I feel warrants an apology, by all means, I would say so. This just isn't one of them. THIS....Adam does tons of things I don't necessarily like, or think are good ideas. I certainly hate his new look - he should apologize for THAT!! LOL!!

This one I like. Maybe the tall-ass pompadour is too much with stache/goatee. The minute I saw this picture, I thought of the famous Afghan Girl (by Steve McCurry) image. Same pose, I guess. Sorry, don't mean to be a buzzkill. My first thought was that same photo of the afghan girl. OT but National Geographic went back to Afghanastan and found the same girl -- now a grown woman who did not fare will one the years. From 2002: "She remembers the moment. The photographer took her picture. She remembers her anger. The man was a stranger. She had never been photographed before. Until they met again 17 years later, she had not been photographed since. " ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2002/04/afghan-girl/index-text

I certainly hate his new look - he should apologize for THAT!! LOL!! I HATE the tall Aqua Net pompador and those think eyebrows. But I also love the fact that Adam is willing to try different things. Some do not work that well -- those awful acid washed jeans, the bedazzled vest from Idols Live, the aqua board shorts and that straw hat, and the poncho long hair look -- all were big misses on my list. But I do not want him to stop changing it up -- and the ASCAP hair is getting a ton of press, so not a bad marketing move. JMHO. I want Adam unrestrained and a bit off the cuff. I prefer that to having everything planned and scripted.
