So true - there's the traditional weekend/vacay scruff - "I'm NOT growing a beard. I'm just not shaving." But, but.... Adam's various configurations are high maintenance. But maybe he means liberating like 'letting it grow' the way one lets one's hair grow for a new look? A bold, out of the box look that will shock and amaze:) Society doesn't encourage a lot of personal expression/variation in how guys look - thus the slighlty sad fascination with tie patterns and usually unwelcome experiments with facial hair. Why does this make me wanna LMAO and cry, both at the same time?

4MsrmynThanks for the info about the vid I didnt know. WTF someone would do something like this? ??? Don't know, really. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, so think they're new and probably did it for themselves.

*so happy* (I certainly wasn't "enraged" about his facial hair - more bemused...and horrified. Hee!) ....I fully expect to see him rockin' the emo look again in the near future, to shake things up once again. Fan of the pompadour but he's had that for a LONG time. What other fan group has such fun stanning? Seriously?

okay...while we're on the topic of the degree to which we'll criticize Adam, I've got to say something.... I'm not a prude and I like a sexual joke as much as anybody, but some of Adam's tweets and retweets have been a little over the top crude...example: when he tweeted for song selections it went bad really fast...sure it's funny, but too much of it turns me off and I don't think it reflects well on him There...I said it. *cue lynch mob? When I was raised, how I was raised, sex was not even talked about. Joking about it was considered crude and vulgar. As an adult, I have tried to be open-minded and shake off the puritan ethic in which I was raised, but, I will agree with you that I sometimes find the sexual jokes and references a bit gross. On the other hand, who started with all the sexual innuendo? Adam or the fans? Adam a a self-confessed strongly sexual person. But, I think that starting at least with the Idol tour, the fans were egging him on to be more provocative. They were the ones who named his penis and made gif after gif featuring it prominently. In one interview where Adam talked about his AMA performance he said something about the fans' responses to the Idol tour and his conclusion that maybe that was the kind of performer they wanted him to be. Not sure that conclusion was wrong. Maybe just not the right venue. The Adommy action on GNA was totally for our entertainment. Adam is a stage performer, and it is instinctive to pick up on the audience and reflect back what he thinks they want. The twitter frenzy started with Adam asking a straight forward question about what fans wanted him to write about. It was the fans that took it in the sexual, kinky, sometimes ewww direction. Adam just joined in. We've commented previously that Adam just naturally code-switches to match the people he is interacting with. We see it all the time. Adam can be classy, Adam can be tactful, Adam can be silly, Adam can be witty, Adam can be insightful, Adam can be deep, and Adam can be frat boy at a kegger bachelor party crude. I don't particularly care for the last one, but, I can step back and admire how Adam "works a crowd." Pretty much agree with this entire post. He really has a gift to be able to do this so well!

If he didn't apologize for scandalizing people at the AMAs, yuk, yuk, why would he even consider apologizing for an OPINION that wasn't cruel or premeditated, simply an opinion. Nobody cares that I will tell anyone who will listen that I hate Casey and wish they hadn't saved him the first time. And it will really hurt my feelings - on my birthday, no less - if you tell me my opinons don't count as much as Adam's. I'm very sensitive, you know. Happy Birthday Aspen.. since I don't want your feelings hurt on your Birthday.. I will just have to "blow smoke up you a**" how about that.. JK... but I am going to agree with what you said anyway... Adam was very generous with his praise as well as being rather gentle with suggestions.... *don;'t get why there is even a problem* I have more to say about it.. but, I am feeling "the horse has died" now.. LOL I will take confirmation of and agreement with my opinions any way I can get them. I just pretend I don't see the raised eyebrows and sidelong glances. It's better for my self-esteem. Oh, and hooray about Adam shaving. Accepted facial hair, but can't wait to see his sweet face again. You LA ninjas better start tracking him down asap so we can see it. Don't yell at me, I'm not BSC, just kidding and anxious.

And one more thing so I can end on an upbeat note - Gorgeous met Sauli and Raja! He didn’t come to the Drag Race finale but met them at one of the gay bars he was at on boyz nite out (same night). He didn’t remember the name of the place. I got to say hello to Raja at the Drag Race finale and he remembered PastaBaby. Made my night. I didn’t see Adam. I knew he had to be there but suspected he purposely stayed out of sight. After the show my drinking buddy and I went to do what we do best. For those of you that think that I was the woman in the video where Adam was chased in the club, you really don’t know me (and I’m not talking physical appearance here). As far as physical appearance, there is more than one woman with curly hair in this state. And PastaBaby has all her teeth. I rolled into my apartment around 3am quite, ahem, tipsy. I still managed to make the bed for Gorgeous so he could just crash whenever he rolled in. My love runs deep. You always seem to have the best adventures. That was very sweet of you to put G up and arrange entertainment for him. I have no idea about the cost of hotels, but I'm sure you saved him a pretty penny. I'm always jealous of people who live in NY or LA, more so when I hear a new story from you.

It is interesting how many formal Idols are commenting on AI10 and disagreeing with the judges. Carrie Underwood, who rarely talks about contestants and I think has never been negative about a country-orientated contestant was critical of Scotty (an AI10 contestant). My point is really global -- what is pushing Kelly, Adam, Carrie, Elliot, Melinda and so many others to talk about this year's contestants. Is it because it is no longer Sony and they feel more free to be honest? Or perhaps because they care about great singing and Idol?
