It is interesting how many formal Idols are commenting on AI10 and disagreeing with the judges. Carrie Underwood, who rarely talks about contestants and I think has never been negative about a country-orientated contestant was critical of Scotty (an AI10 contestant). My point is really global -- what is pushing Kelly, Adam, Carrie, Elliot, Melinda and so many others to talk about this year's contestants. Is it because it is no longer Sony and they feel more free to be honest? Or perhaps because they care about great singing and Idol? My thought is that they are frustrated with the judges too and they almost feel an "obligation" of sorts to step in and give critique if the judges won't. Some are being brought on as commentators (Slezak uses guests and others have gotten gigs as bloggers), of course, the media is asking. The contestants that are currently on the "answering" side of the microphone have certainly been there, so they know what is needed. ETA: Oops, I guess that was the long way around, What mys*&@^#r50 said. Or, lol, jinx.

Aww Pastababy what a nice story. It warms my heart. Amazing how friendships are created and the circumstances. Thank you. I really wanted to share something beautiful. Sorry if it was too long. Pasta Baby: I enjoyed your Gorgeous story, too. I was also hoping you would share a bit about your meeting w/Sauli & Katri.

Daughtry even tweeted something to the effect that the judges aren't criticizing anyone this year. I find it frustrating; I want to throw something at my TV screen when the judges start blathering about how ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' AMAZING THAT PERFORMANCE WAS, when I'm thinking, "Uh, not so much." Okay, this is just adorable: GoCheeksGo Cheeks Some little girl in a stroller just pointed to me and started yelling, "Dada! Dada! Dat's Dada!" Gotta say, kinda made me feel #WarmAndFuzzy

It IS interesting that so many ex-Idols (is one ever an EX-Idol?) are critiquing the current contestants. It could be for any one of a number of reasons, but Adam is certainly not alone.
Coincidentally I watched his mentoring session yesterday for the first time in nearly a year and it was as good or better than I remembered. He did not pull any punches and did a far better critique of the contestants (IMO) than the judges are doing this season. And he did it with a smile and a positive vibe. As always.
Anyway - for those that haven't watched recently - do it! He looks gorgeous too!

I just watched the A H interview. Him talking about feeling creative working on the new album got me really exited and anticipating even though he didn't really reveal anything. I have never before wanted someone to write new music this much. I don't know if it's too soon, but I'm really hoping he'll play something new in Moscow. He must have something ready or almost ready by now right. He's been working so much in the studio lately.

*so happy* (I certainly wasn't "enraged" about his facial hair - more bemused...and horrified. Hee!) ....I fully expect to see him rockin' the emo look again in the near future, to shake things up once again. Fan of the pompadour but he's had that for a LONG time. What other fan group has such fun stanning? Seriously? I've researched it, NO ONE has as much fun as we do. My husband tried to be a little jealous in the beginning of my obsession with Adam, but gave up when at least half the time I was in stitches in front of the computer. He told me one time that it is as if Adam is the pot roast and you all are the veggies and salads. One is not nearly as much fun without the rest. I have to agree with him. That was right before he asked if I'd dump him for Adam. I made sure an "ummm" didn't slip out before I said, "Of course not."
