Sorry about my ranting earlier. Just needed to get that all out.
More important, I am so happy that our Atop members in Alabama are safe, although bamafan had so much damage. :(
Those tornados were so horrible, and I feel so bad for everyone who has experienced a loss. Just devastating.
I keep seeing more news about it on tv, and it just breaks my heart. I understand now why my Mom used to tell me that she just couldn't watch anymore. I seem to need to see what has happened, and then it affects me so badly. It hurts my heart.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all that were in the path of those devastating storms. I live in an area where there are many tornados, Nebraska. I have never actually experienced one, but have been very close. At this time, I live in a mobile home. My worst fear is that I won't have enough time to get my furries out of the house, in the car, and to safety.
Tomorrow, I am going to align their carriers to an accessable place in my shed, so that if need be, I can get them quickly and get them all in my car and go ..... somewhere?? Honestly, it scares the crap out of me, but I could never just leave them and go. I just couldn't.
I have 5 cats (yep, crazy cat lady...lol) and a pupdog. I would have to take them with me. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't.
Last evening, I was just home from work and doing some housework. Suddenly, a huge wind came up and branches fell on my roof very hard, and things were blowing around pretty badly. Bushes in the yard were bent clear over. It was only for a few minutes, but it really scared me. Don't know where it came from, but it wasn't the normal, if you know what I mean.
I can only imagine what the people in the path of those huge tornados felt. I just saw a pic on twitter of the destruction of Joe Namaths house, or what was left of it. Actually, nothing was left of it. The devastation is so mind boggling.
Oops...gone on long enough. Just feeling very stressed right now and it helps to *talk* about it.
Thank you all for putting up with me. This is the most awesome place in the world, with the smartest, coolest people ever!!!
