Funny how much info we had while Adam was on ~vacation... I need a vacation myself, just to recover!  Love the green shirt so much!!!! Now that the weather is warming up, maybe we'll see it again soon :D I've been struggling to come up with a date for the 2 Million contest. I wanted something realistic, yet optimistic. Reasonable, yet symbolic. Carefully calculated, yet... OMG someone shut me up! Anyhoo, I was thinking around a year from the first million, and the decision was made easy. My pick is April 26, 2012 at 10:45 pm (Anniversary of my tweet from Adam  ) |

I am an Idol Loon and have been BSC about the show since season 1. I would say the only 2 seasons that did not spawn big fan wars was S1 and S7. S1 because it was so new and the show manufactured a romance between Kelly and Justin. There was some hate from Tamyra fans though. S2 huge fan wars! S3, the same because of the 3 divas, Fantasia, Jennifer, and ??the third??. Season 4, between the Bo and Carrie fans, "YES!!" 'Carrie was boring,' 'a rocker can never win,' etc. Season 5 may have been the worst. So much hate for Daughtry that still continues, to this day, from many Taylor fans. There were even hate boards for Daughtry. Season 6, yes. Lots of hate for Jordin from Blake fans. Season 7, David Cook and Archuleta always treated each other like big and little brothers, so I think this may be a season that had the smallest amount of fan wars. However, Cook fans are now jealous of the attention that Adam gets, both in the press and from RCA. They are all praying for huge numbers for his upcoming album. (I like Cook, a lot and am also hoping for his success. Album #2 is scary for Idols.) Which brings us to Season 8 and as Susie says, everyone has the guy at the top as their target. :-/ The funny thing about this is that I think the majority of people have NO IDEA about this stuff. I've watched Idol since Season 2 and always felt like I could more than hold my own around the water cooler when discussion of the then current season came up. I had no idea that if I liked Daughtry I was being"untrue" to Taylor etc. ;D So it's kind of comforting to know that most of the millions of people that watch Idol don't even know this is an issue at all. Then I caught Lambert Fever and (thankfully) have never recovered. I'd like to just tell these butt hurt James fans that we'll engage them AFTER James has been out of the bubble for 2 years -maybe. Right now they are just kind of like gnats buzzing around. Go away kids, you bother me.  I get bugged when TOB (if it means "the other board") posts headlines that seem so trifling and skip Adam stuff but then I remember - that place is only for the Idol Bubble People, folks that don't even watch Idol know that Adam grew a beard and has a boyfriend and was nominated for a Grammy etc. We've really outgrown them and I rarely go there anymore. James' thread was started on March 4, 2011 - it currently, as of April 30, 2011, has 19 pages of discussion.
Adam's thread was started March 5, 2009 - it had 19 pages as of March 12, 2009... it was taking me way too long to get to April 30, 2009 so I settled for April 1, 2009... he had 91 pages already.
any durbin fan who think James is more unique, more interesting or generating more buzz needs to wake up to reality.
