Yes, the kid made me cry, too. What a beautiful voice - what a fabulous talent - - and he owned it; I could see his body move to the music. He felt what he was singing; he was beyond mom and dad in the wings. He may go very far. We should remember his name. But his name is not Adam. He is not a 'young Adam'. In my mind, there is only one. I don't know how Adam would have sounded, or how self-assured he would have been, or if there would have been tears, when he was twelve. I do know I would give my right arm for a video - or just an audio - of 'Lily's Eyes'. I met Adam's uncle last month. He told me that when Adam was 'ten or twelve' he was visiting the family, and he heard something upstairs. 'Is that the radio?' he asked. 'No - that's Adam" - - - And 'Unca Dave' went upstairs, opened the door a crack, and "listened to the most beautiful sound I've ever heard - Adam singing". There is nothing more to say. Now THAT brought tears to my eyes :D and that is why I defend him (when the need be)

Wow--just listened to that video of Broken Open. That's not just one of my favorite songs from FYE...not just one of my favorite songs Adam has sung...but one of my favorite songs, period.
Is it wrong that right when the video ended, the thought popped into my head that James Durbin couldn't sing that in a million years? I have no problem with Durbin fans preferring him over Adam; that's a matter of personal opinion. But when they try to claim that he's a better singer than Adam, I call foul. He isn't. He just isn't. There is a wealth of proof that exists on video.

I guess this poll is not too important, but there is something very wrong with a poll that has-
Clay Aiken at 53.66 vs Carrie Underwood at 46.34. also Adam Lambert at 50.11 vs Jordin Sparks at 49.89
Also has Kat McPhee nearly beating Kelly Clarkson.
I have watched Adam's numbers go down fast today and Clay Aiken's rise very fast. Is it spamming or what? ???

Beware, mushiness ahead Momtomany Ahhh. Muaah! Just love the love and passion for Adam in this post. He has touched something very deep within his fans with his sublime voice and his integrity, kindness, strength, and courage. I believe we see Adam, the boy, all the time. He goes from mature HBIC director Adam and all the other self-aware roles he plays as an adult performer into those moments of pure free, innocent, playful child Adam. I believe truly free creative expression is the release of our pure, un-affected, unself-conscious self and the truly courageous find a way to set that child free in adulthood.
