This whole thing with James is ridiculous.. we're validating him by even responding.. Makes him more popular and in Adam's league,which he's NOT. IMO a put up job to draw attention to James.He's been riding Adam's coattails from day one ,now his fans are doing the same. Not worth my time for sure..

JazzRocks, "Yes." Fan wars are the worst part of being an Idol fan. And, they don't end when the season ends (obviously.) The fans of the least successful Idol are always butthurt. Taylor fans are butthurt over Daughtry's success...still! "Clay should have won." Etc, etc. The Adam/Durbin thing was brought on by Durbin comparing himself to Adam during Hollywood week. Then the press latched onto it. Then the fans wouldn't let it go.
Does anyone remember, a few weeks back, when Durbin said something about being over the Adam comparisons? Apparently, his fans have forgotten about that comment. I just wish the Adam fans would let it go because Adam is so far beyond Durbin, it's ridiculously silly to even think about arguing about it.

OMG - I collect newspapers of special events (my dad started the collection off with a paper from the first moon landing). I'm not a hoarder but I have one Rubbermaid bin full of papers. I was just going through it and I found the program from David Bowie's Glass Spider Tour - so cool! And the ticket stub is taped inside - 1987 - $29.50. Scarier still another stub taped there - must have been my hubby - David Bowie -1978 - $8.50. (p.s. there are some awfully fine pictures in this book - Adam NEEDS to be selling one of these next tour!!!!!!!) I paid to sit front row to see Adam (twice) out of the 5 times I saw him, and I can't even tell you what the total of all of that would be - I need help  |

I just wish the Adam fans would let it go because Adam is so far beyond Durbin, it's ridiculously silly to even think about arguing about it. Totally agree with this^^. The comments on TOB is becoming ridiculous...all those sharks circling...It was ridiculous 2 years ago and it's ridiculous now. :  This jealousy thing from the fans of others really need to stop. Oh yes, forgot that is where it is 4Msrmyn - thanks! I love painted birdie's drawings!!!!!! I'm moving things around because some parts are too crowded and I'm listing all media & performance vids (with video links) in the intro, like a table of contents. It's not done, yet. That Zodiac/Crawl Thru Fire vid is one of my favorites ever. It shows the whole spectrum of AFL (as someone said earlier). How could anyone watch this and NOT fall in love with the guy? It really does!! I've watched it like three times in a row. From little boy creative adorkable to fierce sex god tearing up the stage.  Regarding fan wars, since I almost never go to MJ's or anyplace else where Idol people congregate, I don't know, but I DO think there is sometimes some animosity with say Cook and Kris fans, but not much. And you're right, they always seem to involve Adam. I think it's largely because no matter what, he overshadows everyone else. He has the most media attention, the most Twitter followers, the successful tour, the major collaborators ... they always have to try to knock down the person at the top. I say let them try; it only brings more notoriety to Adam. What I can't take is the disgusting, hateful stuff; I try not to give those freaks any attention other than to block and report, but still it enrages. |
