So how soon will the video follow the music or perhaps a simultaneous thingys release? It seems as if Sunday and Monday are crawling, crawling along. Plus when will radio begin to play, play, play GT, as I don't really pump the radio, but will for this??

I looked into Shazam a bit more, and Ghost Town has had 79 lookups until now. So those are the infinitely curious people, the clueless people (ahem) and maybe the people in the Yahoo cubicle next to Lyndsey Parker? To compare, Whataya want from me has 1,727,194 Shazams. And I don't know why songs in a playlist on spotify wouldn't count? That is how I have my music organized. I have playlists of some albums (minus the songs I don't like), a Christmas playlist. I built a playlist of the QAL setlist out of the original songs. An ever changing playlist of the songs that I really like st the moment. That is my on demand playing. Sometimes I actively look for a specific song, that may or may not end up on one of my playlists. And I sometimes listen to 'radio stations' based on one artist or genre, and other people's playlists. I have a premium account btw. There are all kinds of ways in which you can get data out of spotify, but I haven't found different numbers for 'on demand' and 'not on demand' plays. I am not an expert, but why wouldn't half of the plays (or probably more) which are in playlists not count? Playlist plays are On Demand. On-Demand: Instant streaming access to songs and albums of your choice on your computer or mobile device, without needing to download files. The only things that are not On Demand are Shuffle Play and Spotify Radio. Here is a full list of services that are licensed by WMB in the US: whymusicmatters.com/find-music**** There is another reason to play Ghost Town on Demand. On-Demand Streams and OFFICIAL Video Plays Now Count Toward RIAA Gold & Platinum
On-demand streams on digital music services that are authorized by and reported to the record labels, whether paid for by the consumer through a subscription or free to the consumer through ad-supported services, will be accepted for RIAA certifications. Only official label/company videos count towards certification; user generated videos do not. Whymusicmatters.com, a joint initiative of the RIAA, NARM, and digitalmusic.org, lists the leading authorized music services in the United States. Source: RIAA

Why is that important for counting plays? Or is shuffle a playlist something different than shuffle play?
