I might well be wrong but I thought it was 100 plays = a single equivalent and 1500 = an album equivalent. I think you are right. I'll go with the 100 for a single equivalent...I might can listen 100 times...lol I will probably listen to it 100 times but I will also gift a few copies and that will mean a lot more. Plus it will help promote Adam. I wish we had a CD to gift. :(

People can download Shazam now and make their account. The deal is to not Shazam "Ghost Town' until Shazam or Adam tells fans to do so, which will be the week of April 27. Yes, you can wait until then but you don't have to. (NOTE: To Shazam, you hold your phone, for example, towards the audio and tap on the “Shazam” icon.) It's also not a bad idea to Shazam other songs leading up to shazaming "Ghost Town" -- just like, when the time comes, we should stream other songs on Spotify and not just Adam's (but obviously not the pop songs that are Adam's immediate competitors; think the songs already near the top of the chart). Yes, the Jason promo clearly was not just for new accounts. Although that could be their ultimate goal. These kind of promotions always have at least two goals -- in the Jason DeRulo case, it was to promote his new single and to increase Shazam's market penetration specifically focused on the US Market. Nothing lost in waiting until it is announced. We have plenty of other things to do between now and then.

Ghost Town will drop at 6 AM where I am So this tuesday I will Get up Get dressed Avoid visual contact with any device that can connect to the internet Withstand the temptation to take a quick look at my phone Take deep breaths Remind myself of this post Get out of the house and the morning routine chaos as quickly as possible Take the train to work Handcuff myself to the train to make sure that I will not find my finger accidentally pressing 'play' after the words 'ghost town' Find a kind stranger to release me when I'm at my destination Find a nice quiet place with wifi And let myself be transported to Adam's world It will be bliss (And then the hardest part, try and get my brain together again for what is going to be a very important day at work. It is weird to think about the fact that this week is going to have a wednesday too). Oh and I Shazam'ed Ghost Town already (oops). The good news is, it found the title within a second or so, very very fast indeed. So it is in the database, and also an instantly recognizable song. I is good to wait to try because it is not very convincing to Shazam a song multiple times, because Shazam is what you use if you hear a song you like but have no idea what it is. And then Shazam will tell you. If we all Shazam it now, we won't be able to do so later, because it will be obvious that you don't need to Shazam a song that you have already looked up before. lol that answered one of my questions ,, my calculations were a day late

I looked into Shazam a bit more, and Ghost Town has had 79 lookups until now. So those are the infinitely curious people, the clueless people (ahem) and maybe the people in the Yahoo cubicle next to Lyndsey Parker?
To compare, Whataya want from me has 1,727,194 Shazams.
And I don't know why songs in a playlist on spotify wouldn't count? That is how I have my music organized. I have playlists of some albums (minus the songs I don't like), a Christmas playlist. I built a playlist of the QAL setlist out of the original songs. An ever changing playlist of the songs that I really like st the moment. That is my on demand playing. Sometimes I actively look for a specific song, that may or may not end up on one of my playlists. And I sometimes listen to 'radio stations' based on one artist or genre, and other people's playlists. I have a premium account btw. There are all kinds of ways in which you can get data out of spotify, but I haven't found different numbers for 'on demand' and 'not on demand' plays. I am not an expert, but why wouldn't half of the plays (or probably more) which are in playlists not count?

I'ts much easier for me to buy CDs and give as presents later for Xmas to relatives (who don't really want it, but might like it after listening, etc.) Other than my son, I don't know anybody to gift a DL to. Most of my friends are Adam fann and any other friends, I'd have to contact for email info and make them promise to DL it, etc. Don't want to push too hard. lol So Q3, you're saying that we need to not include GT in any self made playlist and we need to search and play manually as a stand alone song. OK that's pretty basic. Lots of aggravation, but basic.

That looks like the area in the Hollywood Hills maybe around Runyon area, because of the walkway and trails. If you turn up the volume you can hear the wind. Guess they had to hire a bird. lol
